Now that I am connecting it to my own experiences I'm kinda ashamed to have not noticed that. There was a time when a friend of a friend was actuvely flirting with me I kept verbally rejecting him but didn’t know how to push him away without making it awkward when he tried touching me while acting like it wasn’t flirting. Engaging with a story with problematic elements is not immoral or moral but it's more about how you do it. You don't need to justify the bad stuff to be able to watch or read something. You consume and you critique, you are allowed to have and share your opinion. I can watch a show with a problematic age gap and call it out too.
