Is it that depressing?
Not at all! It's an amazing drama with a lot of actions, excellent fight scenes, great FL, great ML, good romance, good friendship with the others members, a lot of funny scenes. Of course there are serious/sad parts...(no spoilers).

reasoning from the trailer, the female lead is quite an airhead that gains power later on, but my question is…
I can't remember exaxctly when FL regain her powers, but you can see she "have" them when she's trying to save her love ones. FL lost her 5 senses as portrayed in the beginning, so she experience the world differently. She's kinda naive but she's fair and always defends her friends and family. She'll regain her senses around 28 ep and this helps her character grows alot. But there will be some misunderstandings...not because she's a total airhead, but because she trust people. Enjoy! I really like this!
