I read the novel thrice and she wasnāt playing around. This is not even a romance fluff drama to have that kinda plot. First she was engaged to the third ML with her own will . But some incidents happened so the engagement was off. The hero always wanted her and insisted to marry her as soon as she broke off the first engagement. She and her family had to give in because it was the emperorās & his beloved sonās wish. She fell in love with the hero gradually. Then the plot twist happened. 5 years later, due to her dying guardianās wish, she accepted the marriage proposal of the second male lead.
