A normal romance done beautifully

I'm a sucker for normal people doing normal things in media and it being portrayed beautifully. This drama falls into that category, two normal people falling in love in the most organic, simple way yet still keeping me invested throughout their journey. I just wanna say that their relationship is a copy paste of what I ask God for everyday, a relationship that is gentle, sweet, and patient.

Anyways, on to my actual critiques! I want to start with talking about the acting, specifically the FL's acting. I don't think it was bad but I think it was lacking, in a very subtle way. There were many instances throughout the show where I would be watching her and then suddenly I would realize that she is an actress acting in a show. I don't know if that makes sense, but her acting would make me lose my sense of immersion in the show. If she was a new actress I would say its because she lacks experience and doesn't really know how to fully become her character. Looking at her history, I don't think thats the case and she is simply stuck like that now. Again, her acting wasn't horrible but it wasn't amazing either. Also side note I wish some writers would realize that not all female actresses can act cute, and thats okay. Her cute scenes felt wayyy to unnatural and awkward.

I already talked about how much I love the premise of the show so I will try to keep this brief. The story revolved mainly around their love story and some minor points of conflict throughout. I call them minor because they were literally all settles within a couple of episodes such as the ex-bf, her study abroad dilemma, and her mother. I want to say that I suspected they would bring her mothers conflict into the show from the beginning but she way it was executed felt almost like, collateral (?). Like they didn't know what to do for the last couple episodes so they just threw that in and called it a day. Something so big was resolved perfectly within like two episode and were supposed to smile and nod, righttttt. Apart from this small critique I really don't have much else to say when it comes to the plot. Their romance advanced at a very reasonable pace, not too slow and not too fast, it was just right! Sometimes it did feel like the show was dragging but I wouldn't say it ever got boring, if they cut it by two episode I don't think much would have been missed but either way it was fine.

This is already kind of long but I want to finish by talking about the relationships in the show. I am not gonna lie, I did not care much for the FL's friends romance, like at all. I don't think even the writers themselves cared much for their romance considering we barely saw anything about their backstory or their actual relationship progression. I cant be invested in something that has no substance or story to be invested in, you know what I mean? Now onto the main characters. How can one achieve a love like theirs? When you find out, I will personally come to your house to get that information, thank you in advance. No but seriously they were so gentle and patient with each other it made me want to cry sometimes. I love that it wasn't love at first sight for them. You know those dramas where the man would see a woman and then decide they will kill/die for her without even knowing her? Yeah, thank goodness the characters in this show weren't like that. Yes, there was initial attraction but that just how relationships in real life are, people are attracted to each other and thus interest begins. They went through the liking phase and then love phase perfectly, never once going into that weird obsessed and possessive phase some of these dramas like to go through. They loved each other in such a healthy way. Obviously, were not gonna talk about the ethics of a doctor pursuing their patient so i'm just gonna say that detail got lost in the wind....Other than that I loved everything about them and think they were the perfect people for each other.

I'm gonna give it a 9/10 because although there were some issues I think the story was too good to give anything lower. They are the blueprint of an attainable and realistic romance.
