I feel like it was guilt tbh like Fr she was sometimes obnoxious to him but more or less she was nice to him and the fact that he was gonna kill her probably made him felt bad. But also, Idek if he felt entirely bad bc after he didn’t really think about her, he was curios why her blood stopped the ritual from happening

Now that you say that it makes me even more perplexed bc I feel like he’s just holding on to what could’ve been w/ YX and he views YDD as a replacement almost?

Ok I have only watched up to ep 8 but if YDD is the reincarnation of YX, they’re still two diff people with two diff personalities, behavior, etc so I still find it a little unsettling of the love story bc after all LY is in love with YX so it’s like he’s only liking YDD bc he knows she’s YX but if she wasn’t YX, or if he had to kill YDD for YX then he’d probably repeat what he did in ep 8. Unless, the script is gonna make him fall in love with YDD first then him find out she’s YX, I just feel a little perplexed by this :( I really like YDD and I just don’t want her to be anyone’s substitute :(

LQ in ep 8 really did it for me I was sobbing crying angry like I felt so betrayed

I lowkey was rooting for him to get the chairman’s fingerprint on the stock paper thingy but then he just ripped it up lol

That dinner scene had me pressing pause every five seconds especially when he started telling his “joke” 💀

Fr I feel like everything happened so fast yet nothing happened at all like instead of all the scenes with CP and PE, I would of loved to see YZ finding evidence and QF with his dad lol

I think the writing did fall short from ep 30-36. I feel like instead of having the FL and ML be apart in those eps, they should’ve gotten married and deal with problems as a married couple. I think this drama would’ve benefited from a few more episodes just bc I feel like the slice of life and political aspect kind of clashed. The first 25 episodes does really well in combining the slice of life and political aspect but as we moved forward I feel like the things that happened were kind of random. I think they could’ve married each other in like ep 26-28 and then deal with political struggle as a married couple. Also, I feel like Ouyang was quite anticlimactic as a villain. The political struggle IMO should’ve been a little more angsty but I understand that the plot isn’t really politically driven so it wasn’t the main focus. What I really liked was the relationships between the sisters and just with all the girls. No backstabbing, no prolonged jealousy turned to hatred. It was refreshing especially YZ character bc literally everyone thought she’d be evil but she became a very confident and mature woman. I think the characters that needed to grow grew and the slow burn for the couples was well done. There were characters that had more potential but overall I really like every character.

Do I have to watch the first one or anything else before this to understand or is it like separate?

I’ve only watched till ep 7 and I like it so far but I just can’t feel their love lol I just feel like this is a high school sweetheart kind of vibe. Also, he keeps saying he’ll marry her but I feel like he doesn’t mean it one hundred percent but their cute scenes are so cute I can’t complain lol
