I agree whole heartedly like despite this drama being tropey, it has one thing that others don’t have which is communication and trust. Other dramas have the same plot but bc the leads don’t communicate with each other it becomes a bigger problem whereas this drama all they did was talk it out and acknowledge each other and believed each other and this should be the standard for other dramas <3

I’m sad too I was in shocked in joy of life and now I’m disappointed here. I hope they change it a bit to like him betraying Xiao Qi but then he realizes his wrongdoings and help Xiao Qi lol I also have a bad feeling for yi xiu like I think if huaien continues his betrayal everyone gonna die

Although I’ve haven’t really seen her but I feel bad for her like all the women in this drama are constantly getting used or played

I feel so bad for yi Xiu like huaien shouldn’t have married her to fill a void or whatever. I wouldn’t mind if he later falls for yi Xiu but we know he’s gonna rebel against Xiao Qi so even if he falls for yi Xiu which will likely not happen, he doesn’t deserve yi xiu

Girl don’t worry that hoe qianer gonna get what she deserve and I’m glad Awu did what she did lol but I mean Awu did lose her parents and her child and she was physically injured before so it makes sense as to why she’s weak but I agree I do want to see Awu become stronger and smarter

The dance was a litttle cringe for me lol but about her father she’ll know soon and tbh I don’t think her dad died like it was too anticlimactic I feel like he’s still alive and plotting to come back

I say give it a try but like watch the first ten episodes bc that’s where everything kinda runs down you know plot wise and key characters are introduced. The romance is cute and the palace schemes are quite good. I wouldn’t say the schemes are intricate but tolerable. It’s honestly the actors that make the drama good lol other than that I wold say it is very tropey. However I am confident to say I have never seen a lead as charming as Xiao Qi

You know I expect a lot of people to admire Awu but the fact that she got five men who are in love with her is so annoying lol. Huaien should’ve just admired her and Helen zhen literally have no reason whatsoever to love Awu lol like wth where did this love come from. Also I mean huaien did take the bribe I think he gonna betray Xiao Qi in the long run which makes me sad

Idk there’s just something about huaien liking Awu that ticks me lol like I just don’t see it? The most would be admiration but liking her is just out of nowhere lol

She’s so annoying omg it’s also funny to see her just mopping around in Awus home especially when the maids were shit talking about her lol. She’s so irrelevant but that other brat niece girl is even more irrelevant. This drama should’ve just never brought the niece and just let jinger sabotage Awu already bc I don’t want to see her again

A part of me want to say she kind of likes xilong but I don’t want that to happen bc he did rape her. Also spoiler: I read somewhere that they said she was teaming up with Helen zhen to kill xilong so I don’t think she loves him
