he wants to rebel too, bro is building a private army that's why he needs to steal money from all the elite families
Yes, and on top of stealing all their money, only with all of them dead can there be no witnesses left so he can say whatever he wants to justify quelling a "rebellion spearheaded by the Gu family" (in quotes because that's his story). Plus he's a prince and if he wins his rebellion, no one can really say anything about him killing everyone. So it's his chips all-in move.
He is a true immortal that embodies zero prejudice, patience, kindness, mercy, love, faith, and selflessness. He was fun too, not the typical stuffy seriousness that we usually get. I'll miss him.
The actor that plays him is also in Ingenious One which I'm also watching right now so I'm kinda happy to see him again.
This is getting goood.. which is why one episode per day is killing meeee moreeeee
I purposefully stopped watching over a week ago to build up episodes so I can binge watch this last arc before moving to the immortal timeline knowing how hard it would be to stop in between episodes. Started watching Love is Sweet to get my BL and LYX fix while waiting. I can't wait to start watching again!
Just my guess but I'm thinking that they don't fall in love because they were in love in the dream but they begin…
Technically she just has to keep him alive. She can do that without being nice. If you watch closely at the way she treats him, she shows him real compassion (which she doesn't need to).
For example: When she buys him coat to keep him warm, she sewed it herself to fit him better and it was a nice and expensive coat. She could have just given him a blanket, an ugly and cheap used coat, she could have forced him to wear a coat that doesn't fit him, she could have had servants sew the coat, etc. So many ways to keep someone alive without any kindness or compassion. She didn't do that and that's of her own volition because that is her true nature and that is the only thing that can overcome evil.
Compassion leads to understanding and understanding leads to love.
Just my guess but I'm thinking that they don't fall in love because they were in love in the dream but they begin…
Some people don't like this dream arc but I think it's because of this emotional insight for LSS and TTJ that it's critical that this arc exists and is shown. Otherwise, it wouldn't be realistic or believable to have two people fall deeply in love (enough to sacrifice everything) with each other when they are supposedly valid* enemies full of hate and vengeance.
* I say 'valid' because there's real factual reasons to be enemies and hate each other not just tropey misunderstandings like he's really a good guy pretending to be a bad guy.
Just my guess but I'm thinking that they don't fall in love because they were in love in the dream but they begin…
Agreed. It's so important to have a really good script writer, director and actors, with producers that leave them alone to do their jobs to properly convert one medium (book) to another (film). Alas, this is hard to find and extremely rare to have all the ingredients simultaneously because no one really cares about the art, just $$$ so churn and burn. By 'no one' I mean the production companies.
don't tell me that after they wake up from this dream they're gonna suddenly fall in love with each other -_-…
Just my guess but I'm thinking that they don't fall in love because they were in love in the dream but they begin to understand and empathize with each other better. For instance:
LSS can understand how TTJ can be so cruel, ruthless and vengeful because she now understands what it's like to be bitter and feel betrayed and let down by everyone. And that being vengeful doesn't necessarily mean that you're evil (it's not black and white).
TTJ can understand that there is real love that is sincere, innocent and constant without motives by SJ's actions/feelings towards MY. Also, he can understand regret, like heartbreaking regret when you deny or don't act on love. Before, he's always so suspicious and doubtful whenever LSS is kind to him.
I'm thinking, with these newfound emotional insights, it opens the doors to them being able to love each other for who they are despite the hate and doubt. Because TTJ killed LSS's entire people and YXW tortured TTJ so much before she became LSS. So there's a lot of hatred and suspicion on both sides that they have to overcome.
Let me tell you. Episode 17 WAS SO SATISFYING TO WATCH. Please!!
IKR. It reminded my of Bai Lu in The Legends. No one does badass like her and it's so believable. I just want a full drama of just her being badass like that for the entire show's duration.
This drama telling us that when you are too good you will suffer. Don't ask me how I know... And then when you…
Unfortunately, the world is always looking for someone to blame and become the scapegoat (bad guys) and someone to take advantage of and manipulate/use (good guys).
Why did the king leave the throne to both XS and XC itβs really funny
He didn't leave the throne to both XS and XC. He left the throne officially to XS (the copy that supposedly is the "second copy taken by Eunuch to be put in archive for verification later on". Anything sitting in the archives is official.
The scroll with XC's name is to give XS the choice if he decided that he didn't want to be emperor. His father knows that he never wanted it. Also remember that Langya said give the throne to the son that you hate the most so he didn't want to force him. He also allowed the Eunuch to see this as a final loyalty test. That's why he told XC that if eunuch approached him then to kill him.
Emperor knows just like eunuch and all other officials that XS can make himself emperor at any time and if there's disputes, the copy in archive for safe keeping would have his name so he could always legitimately become emperor. At the end, XC returns the scroll with XS's name to show that he knows and to give XS one last chance to change his mind but XS destroys it, in effect making XC legitimate emperor for good so there won't be any disputes later on as to not repeat what happened between his father and uncle.
Finished this drama ... only made me wanting more of their adventures in the wulin world. Still think XS would…
The Director Eunuch did get killed in the end. Emperor gave instructions to 2nd prince that if Director contacted him then to kill him. Jade Eunuch came back with his gang to do the killing. They just didn't show the actual scene.

@shiofmedea Thanks for the insight. I haven't read the book or watched the donghua so wasn't sure in the beginning of Ruo Yi's intentions. Didn't want her to be the tropey jealous girl that turns bad because her feelings aren't reciprocated and didn't know if her father was good guy or bad. I'm glad it doesn't look like her character is going to be like that and her father seems like a good guy.

just curious but why are lin bo yang/qian luo, flora dai/ye ruo yi, and li xin ze/tang lian listed as main characters?…
Qian Luo and Tang Lian inherit the Four Pillars/Guardians of Tian Qi titles (vermillion and black tortoise) and are sworn to protect sixth prince Xiao Se so that would make them main characters. Also looks like Qian Luo is also XS' love interest.
Ruo Yi is the general's daughter and it's been hinted that he is very close to XS and there's lots of signs that she's a mastermind (of what I don't know yet). She's also LWJ's love interest so I guess that makes her main character too.
DARK RIVER beat both sword diety and one died. OVERHYPED Sword dietys.
She was poisoned, it was in the air and the more power she uses, the more she loses. That's the only way they could have defeated her. He used a power too soon before mastering it to save her so it backfired and hurt him internally then he took the needle when he pulled it out of her. He tells the other guy that he destroyed it but we see that there's a pin prick in his palm when he grabbed it.
Dark River are assassins so they would use trickery and unethical methods to kill their enemies. So technically, they ARE powerful but no one is immune to death and trickery.

His death also triggers a war so the rest of the world will suffer and if I remember from previous episodes, it'll mean his sect will fall or be destroyed as well.
