Title The Blood of Youth Spoiler
I'm liking the female characters so far (watched to ep. 12). They aren't weak or stupidly lovesick or childishly…
They haven't had much to do yet (significant things) and I think this part so far is just setting up the backstory for the 3 main MLs. The most childish one out of all the FLs is Qianluo but she's supposed to be young in the show and I feel that she's going to mature as the show progresses. There's 40 episodes so still lots of time left.

how are the main female characters in this drama????I have only seen people talk about the main mls so far but…
I'm liking the female characters so far (watched to ep. 12). They aren't weak or stupidly lovesick or childishly annoying. They're all powerful and strong-willed and pretty much do whatever they want.

Title The Blood of Youth Spoiler
In the novel, technically, Xiao Se is the MC. The issue is that it wasn't how it was supposed to be. Lei Wujie…
I've watched up to ep. 6 and it seems like the main focus is on XS and Wuxin. The opening alone introduces XS and his backstory (at least the beginning of his backstory).

Am I the only one who thinks Seo Yul is only thinking of killing Naksu because the blood worm is making his brain…
Yul need to kill Naksu because he feels guilty and it's also his duty and he'll bear the burden since he's dying anyway (from his perspective). It's better if he's the one to kill Naksu than Uk, in his mind, since Uk doesn't know that JBY is Naksu so he won't feel the pain of loss all over again and Yul doesn't know/think that Uk loves JBY.

Yul feels guilty because everyone thinks that Mudeok/Naksu ran wild and killed Uk in season 1 and now he's cursed to live with ice stone with his pain of loss and being alone and cold. Remember, no one knows that it was Jin Mu's bell that made Naksu go nuts.

So, from Yul's perspective, if he had done his duty and killed Naksu the moment he found out she was Mudeok instead of giving in to his feelings, Uk wouldn't have died and revived to live a pitiful life. Park Jin wouldn't have had to step down as leader to appease everyone, etc.

This time around, he feels that he has to make it right because no matter the circumstances, soul shifters are not allowed to exist. Another soul cannot live with another body. That's why Master Lee said that if Naksu regains her memories, the body will start to reject her soul. So, there's a good possibility that she'll run wild again. It's kind of like us when we have an organ transplant, the body will reject it as foreign and start attacking it, it doesn't care if by attacking that organ, the entire body will also die.

Yul does love her very much but he is a righteous man. Of all the characters, he's the most righteous so he'll do the right thing no matter the cost. That's why So-I said that he makes the world feel "clean and bright".

Naksu IS the Jinyowon Firebird Theory 1. Little Naksu was shown hiding the the woodshed with fire all around her.…
I find it interesting and maybe important clue that when asked if there's a cure for the blood parasite, Mama Jin says "birds eat insects" and it shows the bird eating the worm and the blood parasite is like a worm.

They answered that already. Her soul is dead but the divine powers belong to the body and hence Naksu can get…
Master Lee said body because the body holds the blood but the true power rests in the blood and bloodline as that is the only thing that is passed down generation after generation, not bodies. At the end of the day, JBY's divine priestess powers originate from her ancestors and their bloodline that's why only the Jin clan have this power.

Power is in the blood. That's why So-I had to have the blood parasite when she was pretending to be JBY. This is also why JBY has to marry and have children to pass on the blood to the next generation so the power doesn't die out. This is really why Mama Jin was ok with JBY soul dying so long as the body is saved and why she was forcing JBY to marry and keeping her locked up. I think deep down inside, she's accepted her daughter is dead but she needs to preserve the bloodline and all that power for the clan's future.

how do you guys think jang uk will find out about bu yeon being naksu...he is kind of getting the hints in the…
I think what will convince him more than the words and memories that she says/has is the touch. When he touches her hand, he feels the exact same way as he does when he's holding Mudeok/Naksu's hand. That's why in the end he says "you are making me crazy" because he's wondering how that's even possible if she's a different person and that's why he tested it out with Maidservant Kim.

I am married for 17yrs and love my husband to death and every time I touch his hand there is an inexplicable feeling that I get that I don't feel with anyone else's hand (even when I first met him). So I understand this.

1) A little confused about how So-I revealing to the world that Mudeok was Buyeon is a threat to Mama Jin? Is…
1) Everyone knows that Mudeok stabbed Uk and was Naksu shifting into Mudeok's body that's why she got petrified and jumped in lake. So if the world knows that Mudeok is Buyeon then the world will also conclude and know that Buyeon is Naksu. Meaning Mama Jin has been hiding and raising Naksu all this time.

2) Yul was one of the first ones in season 1 to figure out that Naksu was inside Mudeok (aside from Uk) but kept his silence to protect her. So back to #1, if he finds out JBY is Mudeok, conclusion is JBY is Naksu.

JBY (Mama Jin introduces to world and acknowledges and proves is real/legit daughter) --> Mudeok (runs wild and stabs Uk as soul shifter Naksu in front of everyone) --> Naksu

A genuine question i have for everyone.WHY DO WE ALL HATE SO-I BUT NOT CP????CP could have stopped jinmu in s1…
I agree. Also, as a character, So-i is more consistently written -- all her actions, motivations, etc. Whereas CP is so inconsistent. JBY sees his energy and says that he's got a kind heart but his actions don't reflect that "kindness". A really kind person (like for instance Yul) would never agree to kill anyone for any reason. He's also supposed to be strong and smart but he's a weak puppet being manipulated by Jin Mu and it doesn't even show any ATTEMPT on his part to fight back or even be aware of it -- not even a little bit. So, he's a terribly written character of all the characters in the show that has the most contradictory and inconsistent actions, motivations, etc.

And they she is always ready to sacrifice anyone, innocent or not for her one sided dumb love. I cannot empathize…
No one needs to empathize with any character but it's good writing when a character sticks to their core experience and traits. She's a selfish person so her love would be selfish. She's also turned into that type of person to survive because she's had a rough and abusive life so she would fall in love (obsessively) with the only person who's ever been kind to her for no reason and doesn't expect anything back. Yul has been consistently kind to her and treats her with respect despite who she is and what she's done (even after the reveal in ep. 5 between them).

She's no different than the archetypical mafia/mobster who are vicious and ruthless and can burn the whole world but are extremely loyal and protective of their family.

Woh!!! She never said anything about saving her. She is doing it to protect him. After all she did to survive…
Yes, I agree. That's why the last line of her message to him is that he must live at all costs -- because that's all she cares about. The info she's giving isn't to save her but to help him save himself if she fails because there is a huge probability that she'd get killed. And I wouldn't be surprised if that's how she dies, saving him to redeem her character -- she's done a lot of bad things.

@Jasmine Totally agree. I've noticed that a lot of Yang Yang's characters (Love 020, King's Avatar, etc.) are…
Problem is that Yang Yang doesn't act that. Good acting will show us, the audience, that he's cunning and lying through his teeth when he interacts with everyone else and his true side when he's with BFX. But I see the same Yang Yang face with maybe the difference that he smiles more when he's with her but that's obvious and not nuanced acting.

I know he's supposed to be holding everything in and not show his cards but I'm just saying Yang Yang is not acting it. A good example of someone holding it in is Wang Yibo in Untamed. He doesn't say or do much but the audience can tell that he's just holding it in and we can sense what he wants to do or say if he could. That's acting. We feel the weight and burden of his constant restraint and self-control. His loneliness is also palpable. You don't feel any of that with Yang Yang here.

@Jasmine Totally agree. I've noticed that a lot of Yang Yang's characters (Love 020, King's Avatar, etc.) are…
IKR. There's 2 things in the story that shows and solidifies just how much love HFX has for BFX and that is the flower that he cultivates for her which requires patience and devotion and the willingness to sacrifice his entire life's work and ambition, which is to rule the world. Here, they changed the flower and it seems like he doesn't have that much ambition so not too much of a sacrifice. So this show doesn't have the epic love story "feel" like it should have similar to Eternal Love/TMPB, Ashes of Love, Untamed, Word of Honor, etc.

It doesn't even compare to the love you feel in Tiger and Rose or Love Better Than Immortality (other Lusi shows). Which like you said is a shame since they are a great pairing and there is great potential.

Edit Add: What's really unfortunate is that since it doesn't focus on epic romance too much, it doesn't also focus on war/battles since show is almost done and the court intrigue is meh so the show is just kinda bland. It's still the best one now and so far but only because there hasn't been anything good since WOH (in terms of this genre).

Title Who Rules the World Spoiler
Ugh I haven’t been able to stand Langua since she first pranced onto the screen with that smug annoying face…
Agree, and then to entrust the leadership of the sect to her??!! WTF is she going to teach anyone when she herself knows nothing about loyalty, staying calm in crisis, proper critical thinking, fairness and honour, etc. I mean what was the motive for BFX to even kill her master? And if you're going to kill someone, would you be so stupid as to make it so obvious, especially with her powers. Also, how does being the last person to be seen with him alive automatically jump to guilty of murder. She's so sure of her guilt that she'd stab her sister that she grew up with all her life in the back. Geez. Can't imagine what she'd do to a stranger.

@Jasmine Totally agree. I've noticed that a lot of Yang Yang's characters (Love 020, King's Avatar, etc.) are absolutely "perfect" with zero flaws to the point of sainthood. There's no way that a human person that went through what he went through can't not feel some rage and resentment, especially towards the father. Also, BFX calls him Black Fox because he's cunning and someone who can successfully set up a spy network like Fountain Abode, knows a thing or two about the darker side of humanity so he has to feel it. You can't understand and master something unless you feel it deep down. He's represented by the colour black for a reason.
