I agree. That’s why I couldn’t finish it. I had to drop it. When noble idiocy has such a negative impact on someone it makes it hard to continue to like the character.

YES!!! I can’t helped it, I was shipping them so bad in The Witch, because I can ship anyone lol. This is like a gift! They are both really good actors, so I have high hopes for this drama.

I want it to be good. So I may watch maybe two more episodes. But wouldn’t be the first I drop. Sometimes I found things I should love based off of my preferences, but for some reason just don’t do it for me. Oh well.

It’s a shame because I think that this could have been. I think the writing was lacking in the crime part of it, the actors aren’t used to this type of genre, and the directing was poor. I mentioned above to someone else that the when both ML’s are getting closer there is too much light hearted flirting in areas were more serious things happened. One thing, like in episode 4, the guy was just attacked in his home, the other bleeding from being hurt and they are smiling and flirting, not to mention the attorney friend is missing. The directing is responsible for that. They could have easily still shown an attraction but kept it more serious as appropriate for the drama.

I’ve gotten to episode 4, but it’a been one of those I have to put down and come back to. Think a review I read may have described part of the problem, that this mystery/thriller isn’t something they usually act in. Also, I think the directing was a large part of the problem. I mean there was a scene recently that was just a little too silly flirty for the atmosphere.

Clearly and unpopular opinion, it I’m struggling with this. I like the plot and the characters, but the acting is just...awkward. The dialogue doesn’t feel natural. And considering that this is revolving around teachers, police, prosecutors, and doctors, everyone seems immature and not very intelligent. The questions asked and not asked about Jane’s death drive me nuts. Even the reasoning to thinks is silly and accepted too easily (even by the people I know are the good guys). I’m totally okay with suspending logic, but suspending logic combined with awkward acting and dialogue is hard. Personally, I feel that this rating is somewhat biased because of the ML’s and their following. Hoping this will improve.

You’re right. You know the end when he lost his memory was hard for me to accept, I HATE memory loss. But I look back on this later and while it’s still sad, I think he is more free and happy to love her without his past hovering over him. Like you said, he still chose her no matter what.

Good to know. Sounds like a decent resolution, but I think I’ll wait it out until the end and come back for spoilers and ratings to decide if I want to watch it.

I love the two females. The FL was in Love Me If You Dare which is an all time favorite for me. The second female listed (supporting) was in go go squid, and I’ve been waiting to see her in something else since then. I’m not familiar with the men though.

I did notice it was airing a lot of episodes during the week so I may. And I was able to use my VPN to find it on my Tencent app I already may for to get VIP.

I want to start this so bad. I love the FL from Love Me If You Dare and I love Jeing Pei Yao from go go squid, she was so cute and endearing I’ve been looking forward to seeing her in another drama with a more prominent role. I want to start this now but I HATE waiting.

I never even watched this drama, but I keep seeing the low rating popping up on my home page and I’m feeling for y’all.

For the most part I watch dramas for romance. I want my leads to end in a happy and healthy relationship.

Off and on I come across maybe a movie or short series that sounds interesting and I watch it if it’s not romance or watch it knowing that it has a sad ending. I think for me I can handle a sad ending if I know that is the intent of the story (ex. lead has terminal illness) so I don’t go into it with the expectations of it being an overall happy ending.

But I can’t invest myself into a long drama that doesn’t have romance and a happy ending. I mostly watch dramas for a pleasant escape from reality.
