I want to share my thoughts on Bui here. I was very hurt and disappointed that the actor I thought was an ally to women or lgbtq+ turned out to be a person who said the most disgusting things online to rape victims and about women.
I truly believe people with even the most disgusting views and opinions can change, especially within a span on 8 years in which you have time to mature, grow and realize how dumb and disgusting your old self was.
I have seen it happen with me, my uncles, my dad, friends, etcetera. It would be unfair to cancel a person for the things they said 8 years ago IF they genuinely changed for the better, apologized for their past mistakes and make an effort to continue growing and learning. I myself used to make pedo-bear jokes online and 'the girl is too old when the age is not on the clock' jokes when I was 13-18 because it was a funny meme in the mid 00s, I just went with the crowd, but now in 2022 I can't imagine joking like that and I would smack my 13-18 year old cousins and nephews if they dare to joke around like that because it's really disgusting.
Based on what I've seen and heard from the Bui *now* and his Cute Boy Thailand (or whatever it's called) videos, from 2018, he appears to be a totally different Bui than he was in 2014. He also immediately apologized without making excuses. The only thing is that we can't know for sure if those things mean he truly has changed. And if it's enough to forgive him.
I forgave him because I love the current Bui, his apology seemed sincere and I believe 8 years is a long time to mature and change but I will have to see if he truly changed since I haven't known him for so long and idols and actors in general only show us what they want us to see.
I also think your feelings are valid if you never want to support Bui again and can't forgive him. To be honest, I feel like i'm crazy for forgiving him, I wonder if I can't think straight because of my love for Pete and Bui's cuteness, but I'd feel like a hypocrite if I didn't forgive him because I said disgusting things in the past myself, I know other people who said disgusting things in the past but are a better person now. I know people truly can change for the better and should be given a second chance.
About the casting of Bui in KP SS2, I realy love VegasPete and I want to continue seeing them on screen ;-; I must be selfish for thinking this way but I'm really worried about VegasPete. To me, Bui is the perfect Pete and it won't be the same without him. So I hope he stays.
Notes on episode 11:Great makeup for Pete's lashing wounds.Did you notice that Vegas was whipping the belt horizontally…
> I think Pete the actor should have worked on his body just a bit...nearly naked his body reinforced that impression of youth that undermines the credibility of that character.
no
build is gorgeous, his tits are juicy and his body looks absolutely breedable, i just wanna squeeze his soft parts and lick up the sweat forming on his abdomen
So when I first heard about VegasPete's story, I thought it sounded awful and it made me less excited for the…
> "I was really hoping Pete would then call Vegas out and say that he sucks just like his father, but no. "
Indirectly, Pete IS saying Vegas sucks like his father.....you have to read between the lines. Because Pete said, they (our fathers) beat us because they themselves suck for having never won and they take their pain and take it out on their sons.
Vegas is also beating Pete, for the same reason, he never won from Kinn, but also never seems to do anything right according to his dad, beaten up by him everyday so Vegas takes his pain and he keeps taking it out on Pete, continuing the cycle of abuse...
In other words, Pete IS saying Vegas sucks too... ^^
I know you're not a fan of the couple, but us VegasPete stans really love these two because they're not the average couple and they have a painful but beautiful story. And once Vegas realizes he's in love with Pete he he will also realize what he's done to his special person, the emotions and feelings of regret and angst are *mwah* chef's kiss.
As a die-hard fan of VP's story in the novel... I loved this episode. We already knew it was gonna be rushed, but the scenes they gave us were absolutely amazing thanks to BibleBuild. They gave me everything I wanted to see from VegasPete. Anything else that BoC left out or may have failed at, well, I'll just fall back on the novel for those things. I was too blown away and amazed by seeing VegasPete happen on screen, I was impressed by BBB from beginning to end, loved every second of their scenes, their portrayal of VegasPete was mindblowing and I couldn't ask for more. Is it rushed, yes absolutely, but BBB gave 500000%, quality over quantity.
The other couples bored me in this episode I'm sorry :( would have loved to see more of TimeTayTem but we got nothing.
So far from everything I've seen of him in KinnPorsche (only 5 episodes are aired so far) he's an actor who can express a wide range of expressions and emotions, very natural and convincing, and he captured my heart with his beautiful smile and his serious side as Pete. We still have to see any VegasPete scenes (i hope their story starts next episode) in which he will show his acting skills for real, because he will go through a rollercoaster of emotions and thoughts, and he has a very difficult role (like Bible). I think, if he manages to ace his scenes, he'll definitely get a main or leading role soon.
yes like in the novel....nobody expected it to happen! it took 30 chapters for their side story to start... but…
- during the hot pot scene in ep4, the bodyguards are on the left, in robes, pete is the only one from the bodyguards wearing black, just like vegas, and he's on the right side with vegas :) if you read novel and know what happens with vegaspete...this frame is very meaningful - during the auction scene, everyone has a white shirt under their black bodyguard outfit, pete is the only one in all black outfit, which is in contrast with vegas who is wearing an all white outfit ^^ - in ep2, porsche doesn't like the western food he's served in the canteen, it's pete who tells him to toughen up and eat it or something like that, while in the novel it's the only thing pete can eat in vegas' house LOL and he's complaining about it all the time how he's starving, so i liked the irony of what pete told porsche - probably more i forgot to mention
