Title My Mister
I am older and I have no doubt it is a brilliant drama and is aimed at my age group but it was way too oppressive…
That's a fair point.

Though if I may; let me provide a bit of a different angle. While shows that are about giving you a way to escape life definitely have their place, at the end of the day; the shows/books/movies etc... that stick with you far longer are things that are grounded in reality and reflect the struggles that people may be going through.

Would it be accurate for me to say that this drama is made for a more mature and older audience who has experienced…
I think that's fairly accurate.

I don't know how I would've reacted to this show if I watched it when I was in the category of 13-17 years old. It relates and resonates far more to me at the age of 24 than so many other stories.

Try Mr Sunshine.

It felt similar to My Mister than any other show I have seen so far.

It's Okay not to be Okay is also similar to My Mister.

But I get ya. I'm starting my third watch-through because the show is just frigging brilliant.

Title Stranger Season 2 Spoiler
Episode 10, so far, was the best episode.

Loved that Shi Mok is finally starting his own investigation and tackling the cases his way. Also loved that Shi Mok's mother was brought up again. Want to see how his interactions with his mother will be. One of the things I wanted to see from this season was Shi Mok's character being pushed into uncharted territories as far as interactions and relationships go. Maybe the 6 episodes left will once again push him similar to season 1.

Have you seen Hotel del Luna? If not, then you can watch it, I really liked it too. FL in HDL was also very strong,…
I love the costume design in this series but yea, HDL costume design for IU was just bonkers.

For people saying that there is a lot of talking.......Did you, like, not watch the first season? I don't know if people are remembering it incorrectly or simply going through the experience of weekly episodes rather than entire season in one-sitting like they did for season 1 but there isn't much of a difference in terms of how the writers are telling the story here.

Obviously season 2's story is much more complex compared to the first but the way the writers are telling the story is pretty damn similar.

Maybe watch the first season again and instead of watching all the episodes in one-sitting, try to spread it out and tell me if you see any difference. Because I watched the first season again right before the second season started airing and the storytelling doesn't feel that different. It's just bigger in scope and has more moving parts.

How in the world did you survive S1 ?
But it still involved talking lol.

I guess it's a different experience to watch on a weekly basis rather than marathoning the entire season in one-sitting because what they are doing, in terms of storytelling techniques, is practically the same as season 1.

It's just that season 2's plotline is much more complex with more moving parts than the first.

I came for the mystery aspect and stayed because of the character's and their relationship. I love mystery shows…
I don't mind lol.

I'm still new to K-dramas so I'm also on the lookout for good mystery shows.

I'm disappointed by people who doesn't allow people do have an opinion when season 1 and 2 can rightfully be compared
I mean yea, technically anyone can criticize it on a weekly basis for the episodes they have seen. You can have an opinion.

But it is simply not possible to compare the two seasons as of this moment. Season 1 is completed. You have seen it. You know *exactly* how things were resolved or came into play. Season 2 is ONLY halfway done.

At least wait until the actual season is over to properly judge it. There is a reason why it's an ONGOING season and not a COMPLETED one.

It's perfectly fine to question what the writer is setting up. It's another to pretend to give your full thoughts on plot-threads that are still developing. IDK what the second half will cover and where the season will go but that's why I'm just waiting to see all the cards before I say whether the season worked or not.

First season is finished. People have the big picture of the entire season and have had 3 years to properly give it time to sit with them.

Second season is still airing so I'm not exactly sure how you can compare both of them rightfully?

Too much romance going on. If you're a fan of thriller and suspense, it will not be your cup of tea. Overall if…
I said what you said or meant to convey came across as a stupid thing.

Not that you are stupid.

Maybe grow a thicker skin? You can have dumb/ignorant views. Being able to explain your "view" would be better than repeating whatever this thing was meant to be.

Feel free to come back when you would actually like to talk about the series :)

Seems like a pretty dumb comparison.

Signal and Flower of Evil have completely different intentions though. FoE is more about the married couple and their characters more than it's about the mystery itself. The opening practically establishes how the mystery aspect of the show simply exists as a way to push/evolve the main married couple.

Saying that it has too much "romance" for a show that practically announces itself to be about it seems like a stupid observation.

i'm awaiting reviews about this drama and i know people would've asked this several times but is this worth watching?…
I came for the mystery aspect and stayed because of the character's and their relationship.
I love mystery shows so the fact that I can completely ignore the mystery and focus on the character interactions is enough to tell me, from my own experience, that this series is special with the way it handles the married couple and their stuff.

Title Mr. Sunshine
Could do without it imo
The way I see is that the love story added much more depth to the characters and their actions.

Without the scenes where ML and FL are chilling and having their "cute" moments, the more heavier scenes would not have worked as well.

I felt that the love story was the essential element that was holding everything else up. It made the characters that much more human to have inner conflicts about their selfless duty to saving the country and their personal desires for love.

The love story is practically one of, if not THE, focal point of the show. Yu-Jin is the main lead character and his arc is very much tied into the love story.

I’m not into overly political type shows will I still like this? It looks beautiful but the synopsis sounds…
If it helps; I personally don't like watching historical tv shows and what not and I thought Mr. Sunshine was absolutely brilliant and one of THE greatest fictional work I have ever come across.

I literally just finished watching it like 5 or so mins ago and I can't tell you the pure rawness of the story the show is trying to tell.

Watch at least the first 6 or so episodes to see if you like it or not. It starts off slowly but the stuff it establishes in the beginning is what ultimately leads the latter half of the show being so goddamn impactful and inspiring.

I don't keep up with that kind of stuff so can you please explain what this actually means? And what is BR? And…
This is my first time hearing about this (though I only started watching K-Dramas few months back) but it's comes across as super shady and just bullshit.

I really hope the show isn't really effected by it in the long-run.

What other good shows did TVN had this year? Just recently got into K-dramas so always open for recommendations.
My Mister, which is a tvN show, became my favorite show of all time and am currently rewatching it for the second time.

Along with some of my other favorites K-dramas being from tvN so I don't doubt they make quality stuff. I just only started getting familiar with the whole K-drama scene so I wasn't really familiar with publishers (don't know the actual word for it atm).

I do plan on watching tvN list of shows though as they seem to invest in shows that push the K-dramas (as far as I can see).

BTW Nice username! Is that from the Vagabond manga?
