Try Mr Sunshine. It felt similar to My Mister than any other show I have seen so far. It's Okay not to be Okay…
I was thinking more in relation to the concept of both shows; character-driven story about two characters that essentially come to heal each other and themselves.
Obviously, i'm not saying that they are on the same level and even the relationship and character-writing in My Mister is far far superior but I thought that their initial premise, at their core, are very similar.
But a shame not to see My Mister on the list since the main lead and their relationship is one of the, if not the greatest, greatest relationships I have ever seen.
Stranger 2 is written through a deep and complex structure. EP1-6 is a structure that leads to a wonderful story.…
Not that I disagree with your overall point but:
> True Detective SS1, Broadchurch, The Killing etc.
Those are pretty damn mediocre mystery shows that are dragged out just for the sake of "mystery". Thrilling on the first view, yes but utterly simple and overall barebones when you actually look back on it.
Arguing that this season, of all things, is a "brand" scam is probably one of the most stupidest post I have ever…
"Everyone has the right to post here".
I'm guessing this part only applies to you whenever you are mindlessly bashing/wanking off your own intellect, not so much when people question your posts and actually try to engage you.
Jesus, this kid is some seriously dumb fifth grader that somehow ventured into K-fandom and is now trying very hard to convince everyone that he is in fact some intellectual adult capable of engaging and exchanging opinions on message boards (you know the very reason why message boards exist).

Nice!!!
Now think REALLY hard about what you just said because you practically destroyed your own logic and posts with this.
Feel free to ask for help if your brain is having trouble processing the contradiction with what you are trying (and obviously failing at) to convey here.
The best i can give to this show is a 6. I'm being far too generous to give it even that score.Last week was your…

You would have a easier time trolling by coming up with points that have some basis in reality and some solid logic behind it.
Because a second season that goes completely in a different direction then the first season isn't "brand" scam to anyone with two brain-cells rubbed together. We can talk about what worked in this season and what didn't but resorting to "they are just milking it" is soooooooo stupid and false just by watching the first episode.
I am not sure I can find the right words to praise this story. I went in expecting nothing but a slow, slice-of-life,…
Welcome to the club :)
Make sure to read through the blog below as there are lots of good reading pieces on various aspects of the series as well as analysis on the main relationship.
I am older and I have no doubt it is a brilliant drama and is aimed at my age group but it was way too oppressive…
Funny thing is that I started K-dramas because of that very reason.
Maybe I just started them a few months back and have selectedly watched shows rather than watching everything so that's why I have a different view but I find K-Dramas (at least the ones I have watched so far) to be brilliant particularly in their portrayal of people.
I have watched plenty of western shows and movies and yet I always struggle to connect with the characters and the way they are written as they lack any sort of emotional complexity. Western shows/movies have cool ideas and much more technical mastery but the actual subject matter couldn't be more one-note and just....boring.
I have been more impressed in these last few months of watching K dramas than my decade long-experience with Western stuff.
Watch Misaeng, it is the only drama i found which is close to My Mister
Eh, I'm not talking about the genre but the way they handle the relationships between characters.
I have watched all of these shows and Misaeng, while directed by the same director, didn't really remind of My Mister, unless we are talking about the office politics.
My Mister, Mr Sunshine and IONTBO, while have different genres, are all about the central love story between the main leads.
At least that's the way I see it. Misaeng didn't particularly remind me of My Mister. Not saying it's a bad show or anything since it is still an awesome show. But I never really made the connection there. While the connections between the three shows just came naturally to me as I was watching.
are you under 20? might be why you find it boring....
I mean ClassyApples isn't exactly wrong with that point.
Unless there is something I'm missing here; the show is very clearly intended for an mature audience. On top of that, it's a very slow paced precisely due to its more character-focused nature. It takes full advantage of the pacing to show/demonstrate these characters particularly in their daily lives and the environment they are in.
But it does require the audience to understand a few things that are left unsaid as it doesn't deliver a happy ending for the sake of it nor does it deliver it on a silver-platter.

Such a goddamn masterpiece.

It's by the same writer though that series is tonally much more darker and serious then this.
But let's see if you can explain what makes them better or even good for that matter.
The best part is always how he destroys them but while also a 100% straight-poker face.
I love being able to discuss those differences in perspectives as It helps me convey what I wanted in much better ways hahaha.
If you don't mind it then by all means please do.
But oh well.
