eric's last drama was such a sht show, so happy that his character here looks way mooooore promising. I hope they don't fail us midway. I hate love triangles but will keep watching for eric!! eric in na joo hwan, fighting!
the first two episodes were hilarious!!!!!!!! i go from laughing too much to crying my eyes out HUHUHAHA also petition for seung heon to be a regular member of any variety show!!! i want more people to see how crazy (and stingy) he can be at playing games LOL
FOR THE FINAL COMMENT, I HOPE THEY KEEP HAVING OLD ACTORS ON THE SHOW! AFTER SEUNG HEON, I LITERALLY CLAPPED WHEN I SAW WHO THE NEXT GUESTS WERE HUHU I ALWAYS NEED MY AHJUSSIS ON VARIETY SHOWS. They don't get invited enough unless it's for movie/drama promotions.
My very first time to write a long-ass review on MDL huhu i will miss these two frustrating balls of sunshine
#DoYouLikeBrahms definitely made it as my top fave 2020 melodrama. I usually get annoyed when kdramas go from a very slow warmhearted pace then suddenly go haywire and unnecessarily dramatic. They drop all the problems at once –– breaking the couple up, making ALL the side characters VERY problematic, and showing how dumb the lead characters are –– that all you feel while watching the drama is be annoyed at literally everything.
Thankfully, DYLB’s storyline was neither dull and lacking nor went over the edge. It just injected the right dose of melodrama I needed at the right moment. All the characters developed at a perfect timing.
I’ve read lots of comments who hated on Joon Young’s character. Yes, he has his flaws, but to me, he was perfectly flawed until the very end. He was used to suppressing his emotions. He rarely expressed himself and even if the pain was unbearable, he would rather suffer alone. Why? Because all his life, he couldn’t truly rely on anyone, which made it hard to open up his heart even to Song Ah. I just felt that the story could’ve done better in explaining Joon Young’s character.
Song Ah on the other hand (while she’s equally frustrating hehe) always knew when to speak up, cut ties, and be cheesy. (HAHAHA LOL) Despite initial complaints (LOL), I really like the timing of their break up. They broke up at a time when all the evil characters and ugly circumstances that were introduced during the first part of the series were slowly settling in and fixing themselves. I was able to focus on their break up, their emotions, and how they got back together. It would’ve been too much for me had they broken up at the same time as when both of them were having a hard time practicing with their respective professors, JY’s dad and new representative were being assholes, his mom was crying and being pathetic all the time, or when both their friends were acting up.
I love that DYLB stuck to its story’s essence from the very start ––– in both music and love, some only feel valuable when someone’s listening to them and their pieces, while there are those like Song Ah and Joon Young, who’d love nothing more than to to always find solace in each other and their very own song.
Thank you, DYLB! It was indeed a heartwarming and mellow several weeks spent with you. I’ll miss these two awkward (frustrating) balls of sunshine hehe!

after years of watching kdrama, i have stopped watching this kind of family drama. but i gave this a try bcos i’m a fan of all the ahjussi actors including jung hoon. so happy i did!! i love how intense each episode is & it’s so good to see female leads fighting as hard and intense as the villain mother in law!!! episode 9 just kept me at the edge of my seat damn so good
first 3 episodes has already comforted me in ways i did not expect ㅠㅠ i already want them to just fall in love so they can comfort each other endlessly ㅠㅠ

I went in with no expectations but to fall for the leads even more as actors. But damn, I haven’t watched this kind of light romcom since God knows when. Already watched half of the series and it has yet to disappoint me which rarely happens in recent romcom dramas. Hahaha! Chairman Goo and Secretary Seo, see you next week cuties!
