Way too many stupid characters, with way too many infuriating scenarios. Could not make it past episode 6. The first few episodes were fine but as soon as it concentrated on the apartment microcosm, blood boiling absurdity.
JJS I love as an actor. SSK is one of the most beautiful to grace the screen. But as far as Sageuks go, this is one of the worst I've seen. In terms of political manoeuvring, romance, side characters and their actions are infuriatingly Bollocks.
Episode 22 was so stupid because of Liu Cheng Feng my blood was boiling throughout. Liu Cheng Feng is utterly ridiculous, his spiral into delusional madman cus he can't get the girl is so derivative and one dimensional.. And the fact that No One in the Cui Army knows that she is the real Daughter is Nonsensical.
lol you are right though, the villain prince was such a parody, it did have an reverse effect on me, i actually…
I agree, "Main character armor" was super strong with Chuhe, He could do no wrong. Some people train a couple decades to be the best and he's like I think I want to be the Best and therefore is..
For me, I lost all hope when it got to the point where Prince Yu was openly committing all his crimes(eg. trying to murder his brother on eye surgery night), and he just walked away like nothing had happened. All his crimes are punishable by death, everyone knows about it and he just keeps on living normally to continue his "nefarious" plans!!
The start is Excellent, depicting a rich tapestry of characters, story, emotions and martial artistry. unfortunately by the time we get to the End, I found the story to be convoluted and messy, the characters regressed and the fighting with constant powerups and inconsistent power levels very silly.
The Gold medal match in 2001 was my highlight, emotional and powerful, beautifully solidified NHD and KYR bond.
NHD and BYJ weren't part of each others lives for the past 20 years, so I have to confess I do feel a little empty and cheated inside, as their relationship is nothing more than a footnote of their lives. cutting all ties after a break-up, I guess they didn't mean that much to each other after all.
Idk if you’re talking about female lead, but she was a slave not a prisoner. And then his military strategist.
I feel you missed my point. Her "current status" at any point does not change how ludicrous events played out. She could be his wife and I would still feel She overstepped her place.
I guess being the Main Lead Captive in the Grasslands means to have the freedom to do whatever, say whatever, demand whatever, roam wherever, shoot arrows at whomever the hell one wants. utterly ridiculous.
Like how are they going to make his uncle the leader of the gang but make him go alone and ends up dying in vain…
I recently watched Uncanny counter, when the preposterous spirit/afterlife/demon fighting side of the story is more believable/coherent than the school/police/political corruption side of it, there are problems!!

It was all fine until that episode, this is the main problem with Kdramas, they will happily churn out some of the dumbest writing in exchange for extra unnecessary "drama".
Ha Jae Yi's mum: goes into hiding for 18 years from killers. Also Ha Jae Yi's mum: I will work for them.
I binged the first 8 episodes, thought it was original and funny with a very interesting plotline that integrated their past mishaps with their current situation well, then from episode 9 onwards, it repeatedly jumped the shark scene after scene. The fact that the corruption and school life was harder to swallow than superhumans exorcizing evil spirits was hard to take. All in all I loved the Characters, they kept me going, but the dreadful writing, poor second and third act will keep me away from the second season.
Had to drop unfortunately. I tried agaian and again to keep going, but it had no redeeming qualities. Just too reminiscent of cheap, run-of-the-mill 1990s wuxia.
Sandbox is just a start up accelerator, it helps them gain investors and helps people who lack resources to join…
I still think its a highly dubious Business model, but thank you for an informed response instead of the most ignorant of all replies "Its a fictional drama!"
I cant get my head around the ridiculousness of the SandBox. Is this how small businesses work in Korea? I too would like to randomly join a company of 2 years as a designer for 50hours and then get 7 percent of the company. Im good at word association and trend, that makes me CEO material.

I'm not even gonna start on the Villain...
