i don’t get why there are so less female characters. in the OG series one of the things that i liked the most were that there were male and female characters and that it was both of their stories (even if the focus was still on the male characters…) so why?

there’s like only one female character that has a function brain, but other than that (and some minor issue i had with the hero) i loved the show

to be fair I didn’t want to sound that harsh, but I don’t know why when I write in English I sound harder than what I want. you have your opinion and I have mine, I just don’t get why people have a second lead sindrome that big (even after watching the series)

to be fair he didn’t want to make her rich, he just needed a figurehead. and i feel like he would have taken all her money, not just the one she “made”. and he doesn’t want the protagonist he began to want her in the exact minute someone else wanted to be with her too. and but that’s maybe my perspective, being and orphan doesn’t give you the right to treat people like he treats other, at least in the first two episodes (and forward along the series to). he didn’t give me the second lead sindrome everyone was talking about and i kinda disliked his character overall.

onestly? people shouldn’t be able to rate a series even before it finished.

yeah, i felt like if they give a little bit more of them i would liked them more… in the end, by how the story was i would preferred that the “other” relationship developed was the one between the 2 friend, either as a bromance or as a romance… (yeah, I’m a BL girly so i see BL basically everywhere

the thing is, and maybe i said it wrong… i don’t necessarily need a BL by them, i just felt the 2 couple romance so weak that if they made it as a bromance (ora romace, but that’s just me) between the two it would be better. i wrote a review in my native language where i think i make this point way clearer than in English. so my problem (even though i really like the series) is that the second couple feels out of nowhere, and to be fair for me at least she didn’t even feel like a main lead but a supporting role… I didn’t get the connection between them… so, that’s why i said what i said

You now, when i watched reel and TikTok about kdrama they always say “oh, HJP, the second male lead sindrome man”… but i really don’t see it. He was an ungrateful brat in the first two episode (and just because you are an orphan doesn’t it mean that you can use an old woman) and then he keeps treating SamSam Tech awfully just because he can and he knows apparently and he really become interest in SDM only because he see her with NDS. I’m on episode 10 and i will definitely finish the story, but i still have to get all the fuss about this rich and entitled brat that is HJP.

now i get that the two have what for someone can be a pretty relevant age gap, but what the 2FL i think it’s supposed to be also very relevant to the ML decision

after episode 7 i have to say it, no amount of things HJP could do in other episodes can top what I felt when NDS spoke about using the AI to help blind people. yeah, there you get why it’s him the male lead

honestly based on what I saw in the first 2 episode HJP is just an ass… like really

it’s getting better every episode. i love it (please don’t go watch my completed list)

ah, and why is Tinn the only one who says ‘I’m sorry’? like, i get it’s probably to show the difference between the two characters, but it’s still irritating.

the only other characters in BL who irritated me as much as Chan and Tinn’s grandma is probably either someone from OF or KP. i don’t want to judge it without seeing all the episode (and I actually don’t care if Chan has a heartbreaking past) i will never understand why i should give Chan the benefit of the doubt when they made his character so unlikable and irritating. and what pisses me of the most is that I’m supposed to what… prove empathy? to someone who decided to go against the bad guy just because he was fired? wasn’t he fired, Chan will still be appresso to the bad guy. ah, and probably when writing his character the writer forget that if you want to try to install some empathy for a character a tragist past isn’t enough, try make them say ‘I’m sorry’ at least once before the end. I don’t see why they should end together, like really. not because the actors doesn’t have chemistry, just because, why after everything, even if in the end I’m sure Chan will solve everything, am i supposed to be okay with what you did?

i get that and i think you are right but it’s not my point (even though by my sentence my point wasn’t even made). what i meant was that at the beginning i was getting the character, their action and their feeling. but the more i saw of them the more the characters irritated me because they kinda “not even try”. for me it’s hard to explain because English is not my first language and i know what i wang to say in Italian but it became difficult in English. and I know that my culture is different but some behaviour are absurd and i feel like only think they can do is host a pity party and drag others into their problem without realising that other people have problems too and that they don’t want to be dragged into their as well… the thing that at the end of my digression irritates me the most is that except the four main character the other are so watered down that they don’t stand up for themselves against this 3 self distracting individuals. not even Mr Gu who i like for some characterist of his character but at the same time i feel like he got dragged into the situation to easy for a complex (or just misterios) character like him. but in the end i agree with you, every life probably when placed into a series would be perceived as boring or the character as full of flaws… and i actually like this kind of stories too… just not this one

I saw the first 4 episode and I had the same thought. I like the story, but I can’t shake the feeling that something didn’t go as they planned. I like LJS (he is one of my favorite actor) so I really like his role but I had the feeling that the FL is… the thing is that I cannot explain myself in English that well, but the FL is like she is there but she is not. I would prefer either what you suggested for the or something along the line of what happens in the first episode of the second season of New Amsterdam (I’m not giving spoiler if you haven’t seen the drama/want to see it) and him ending with someone else (either the other FL or someone else entirely). I don’t know but I feel like the romance between the two male lead is supposed to be in NK (I don’t you if I explained myself correctly)

i get what you mean, i have the same feeling with one particular BL that i won’t recommend, but if someone saw it and wants to talk about it i will gladly do it. but i found this drama on my own… so, when i watch it will come back

so i just finished episode 4 and I’m liking it a lot, but I can’t shake the feeling that i wont enjoy the ending
