yes i was rewatching the show and i had thought “doesn’t he looks like the major in DP (or whatever was the character title in the show)” checked on Wikipedia and it was in fact him

I feel like it’s supposed to be your “average revenge story” and remember that it takes place in 2016 where rich CEO were the thing. I get it if you don’t like it, but try to envision the author who tries to write something appealing for mostly girl (remember he has a daughter). so the rich CEO kinda fit and remember that Chul is also a genius so for him it could be easy to become the rich and important person driven by revenge that was so popular some times ago

i hope it helped. i noticed a lot of people (myself included) at the beginning didn’t like the childish behaviour of the FL, but then i read a comment where they explained the age of the protagonist (which is 14/15) and that made more sense. as they replied me after i thanked them for the explanation they also said that if the watcher is from China they probably (but honestly, I’m not sure) would get it, by how her hair are styled (which at the beginning is a typical adolescent hair style), but international fans (like myself, at least) i don’t think could understand the art of adolescent hair stylist in old china, so I’m always happy to explain this information. i personally don’t like how sometimes FL in CDrama have childish behaviour, but i feel here is justified said that she basically stopped being a child yesterday (that’s the literal translation of an Italian said, so i hope it’s clear)

now I by no means what to force you to give another chance to The Longest Promise but you should try. I also despise childish female characters but she behaves like that for the first half of the series, and than you see some differences. and she is also supposed to be 14/15 during the first flashback so maybe that help explain her behavior. and Xiao Zhan wore black at the end, very much like in the untamed. and there are some small quotes of the untamed too.

you know it’s the same for me. I’m watching it and I’m trying so hard to no punch the screen while watching it because I could feel the discomfort of the main character all through out the first interactions, where he tries to stay away and the other can’t even respect personal spaces or the fact that Lee Jun is in fact his boss. and I like toxic characters like Khai or Pete in some nice college BL from some years ago but this behavior is to irritate for me. I had the same experience: watched a clip and said “why don’t I give it a go instead of studying?”. well in this moment I feel like I should have studied instead

i had a moment of realization yesterday. he plays the detective in Sens8 and now I can’t stop thinking about it

the series is not THAT bad but I would have like it better if it was a “real” series. this show was made to I think pump the new group X NINE and it shows. would it have been a series with the right amount of screen time (40 minutes) and with a more developed plot it would have been a nice thing to watch. don’t fool yourself, I watched it because Xiao Zhan is my favorite actor in the cinese brodcasting industry, but it’s not THAT bad… you only have to sacrifice a lot of your neurons to watch it

i feel like if they said that in the first flashback she is supposed to be 14 - 15 years old people would understand better her behavior and would have notice the change. i liked her, which is strange because i normally don’t like “childish” behaving character but after i read on some comment that she is supposed to be at the beginning of her adolescent years dueling the flashback i can clearly saw the difference in the pre and post flashback (how many times did i wrote flashback in this comment?)

I’m on episode 14 and one thing i like about the female lead is that she is not this great and amazing magician and she is not becoming one overnight. in some series you get this one level mage that within one episode become the most powerful person alive. she is not like that, she is willing to learn and study, even if at the beginning she didn’t understand why she should. kudos for that

it’s not that bad, maybe i am biased because i like Mark a lot, but I’m on episode 7 and I don’t think it’s that bad. okey, its not Not Me or Triage level (two of my all time favourite) but i really don’t get why it has thi much hate

i had the same thoughts. like she clearly didn’t like the child and hated his mother, so why? to destroy everything she had? to have power over the life of a good child?

I’m starting it for the same reason and I love the “don’t use your rational skills to much” 😂

loved him in Doctor Lawyer, can’t wait for a main role to happen!
