the overarching theme here is very interesting….what makes a good ruler is one who shares is burdens with his ministers and is concerned with their people. An ideal happy world exists and it requires us to take action towards. it’s a good lesson for these dreary times where it’s easy to fall into nihilistic sentiments
I am happy for all 3 of them…the camaraderie hongchu always sought between his brothers he got outside of it. they’re all sharing the burdens of being responsible for the people. I just wish it didn’t cost them so much to get here.
the seat of power corrupts and yet hongchu has a resoponsibility to his people and the state….hes not innocent…he has enjoyed the peace and riches of the state and thus he must serve
And what makes it a flop when these are not the final ratings, the drama hasn’t even been out for more than…
its a flop cause the writing is shit... It meanders for episodes and it lacks direction...you could literally feel the insecurity of the writer leaking through by making the second couple compensatory like jesus christ get better standards and taste for the medium
i think it’s sad that much of the audience did not understand what this show set out to say underneath the romance and action…korea occupies a precarious position globally and to the americans they’re just as expendable as any tools in order to reach their military goals. The show tried to humanize south korea as a country and not just another american military base/colony and yet you dumbasses didn’t catch that nuance going on and decided to rate it low cause “couple chemistry”
it’s soulless and slop
these are phenomenal actors who got a bad script
what a time
