It's not about enjoying romance, why would I say that, it's about having only romance in mind and neglecting everything else about a show.
Why do you think great dramas with little to no romance are voted down here?
This one despite being good has a 9+ only because of the romance, while better shows than this are voted down.
Doesn't means this one is bad by any means. I said that I'm enjoying this DESPITE the heavy romance.
Now people getting offended by what I wrote only prove my point.

Only for overrating romance in shows above everything else, not for actually enjoying the show, which I actually do.

I'm really not into romance and try my best to avoid them while i still love watching historical, wuxia, xianxia/fantasy dramas.
This one is actually watchable for me.
I love the actress playing the FL as much as I absolutely hated her in Guardians of the Dafeng. Looks like she found something in her acting to make herself charismatic. She's my favorite character in this drama.
I'm only at ep9 but it's been great so far.
Highly recommended, but to be honest it's not the greatest thing ever as these braindead fans are believing it to be.

For coherence watch Dashing Youth first, then this and finally Blood Of Youth.
All 3 are excellent with amazing fights and among my favorite Cdramas.
DY has the best characters, BOY is overall the best drama (acting+story), and BR is a sweet spot between those.

If you're not looking for romance you should definitely watch it, it's been excellent so far.
