Indeed. I love this show but have the sense to know that not everyone is going to feel the same way. As long as…
Ah, how I wish more people can have the same mindset. I honestly contemplated for a long time whether I'd post my opinion of the show. I didn't wanna deal with some fans accusing me of something if I said I didn't like it as much as they did. Just as I wish haters will stop questioning the high rating, I also wish some fans will stop chewing on those who didn't find it that great.

Likewise. I didn't like it that much but I wouldn't go as far as questioning why it is high rated. It's as simple as accepting the fact that it's high rated because it's loved by many. Whatever their reasons for loving it is not really my business. Instead of throwing too much unnecessary hate, I'd feel better by simply moving on and finding another show that I can genuinely enjoy. It's not a competition of preference after all.
Earth is the reason why I waited for this series for a year and started watching it even when I already felt jaded with Thai BLs. That said, I am really happy for him because this drama is an obvious success.
Now on to my honest feeling for the drama itself - I didn't love it as much as most people did. I am not saying it isn't great because if the current rating is anything to go by, then it is undeniably one of the best BLs if not the best. But it's just not for me. I enjoyed it at some parts, yes, but overall, it's not something I'd miss or go back to for a rewatch. Let's just say, not my cup of tea.
If you're one of the majority who loved this show, then that's good for you. I wish I was able to enjoy it as much as you did. I can only hope that no one is gonna judge me unfairly for not giving it a perfect rating.
If you're one of the people who felt bad/guilty for not liking it that much, I'm telling you it's okay. There's no need to force yourself to like it just because a lot of people do. Your standard is not inferior just because it doesn't conform with the majority.
As long as you can be respectful, then feel free to like it or not like it all you want.
A delightful watch. I read the manga (it's still on-going?) before watching this so the ending was unexpected for me. I love it anyway; I thought it was cute. <3
On a different note, it would be really nice if we can see Yutaro as a main role in a BL show.
Haven't watched any Thai BL in a while but I started watching it 'coz I did wait for this one and for Earth. I'm still stuck on EP 7 though. lol. Might as well catch up to the 2 episodes as it is ending in a couple of hours.
So... I remember starting to watch it last year but somewhere around episode 5 or 6, I realized I couldn't really get into the story. I picked it up only a few days ago because many people seem to like it so much and I was really curious to know why. What made this show so loved? I get it now. Its charm is not on the story but on the actors and on the main leads' chemistry. Only when I stopped trying to make sense out of everything in the plot and instead focused on the characters' interactions did I find myself enjoying it. And I didn't expect it to be this gay, hah, what with it being taken down once and re-edited. I love it though, of course. I mean, the subtle but not so subtle gayness. lol. I just finished watching and I kind of regretted putting it on hold for a long time. It was overall satisfying. The main plot was meh. The love story (YES, IT'S A LOVE STORY) as a subplot and the acting of the leads were definitely the saving grace.
I think some comments are a bit too harsh because the disappointment is certainly present, even for me. I personally…
I think I'll just wait for the show to be finished before deciding if I still want to watch it. :) I just don't want to start another show which I will just drop in the middle especially if it has too many episodes. lol. Thanks anyway. :')
Personally, I am enjoying every episode (ep22). I think that most of the people who are disappointed or frustrated…
Yep. I thought I'd just wait for the whole drama to be finished before I decide if I still want to give it a shot. As of now, it's just hard to erase the initial expectation I had for the show, what with all the hype it got when it started airing. Not that I was really expecting it to be as good as HnG (it's high of a standard for me, tbh) but I thought I'd find it more enjoyable than Prince of Tennis (the only other sports cdrama I've watched) at least. Anyways, thanks for the input.
I watched the first episode more than a week ago because of some comparisons to Hikaru no Go (I love that series so much) but thought I'd put it on hold for a while until there are more episodes for me to binge watch. That time, I saw many comments here being hyped about the show. I came back here today not expecting those excited comments turned to disappointment. I wonder if I should just forget my plan of picking it up after all and save myself from being frustrated as well...
