Great to finally see LYT's on-set pictures + videos and intrigued what her scenes with CY were. I assumed her…
Should be where they first meet. That is the Gu mansion where he is working as a servant. Qianxi is from an affluent family so she ain't poor.
Curious where all the other cast members are, only XSY (other than CY and LYT) are spotted on set. ZYC still haven't joined the crew yet. Rumor is his role is stilling pending
Si Ming is the Goddess of destiny. She has the power to rewrite the fate of any being. As such she doesn't believe in any preordain destiny.
She accidentally falls into a forbidden realm where she finds and befriend the last living Dragon God, whose a 1000 years earlier was imprisoned by Heaven because of a prophecy that a Dragon God would bring about the end of the Three Realms.
Si Ming decides to help the Dragon by rewriting his fate after learning about his story.
As punishment by Heaven, she was reborn as a mortal orphaned girl with no memory of her past. The story follows her mortal life where she meets her dragon friend, became companions again and later falls in love, all the while struggling against the Will of Heaven that wants stop her from rewriting their future.
I'm done with episode 10 and saw the previews for ep 11 & 12. If you're looking for dramatic and schematic plots,…
Probably involving her childhood friend. He is the chief of a pirate clan. Chu Mu is tasked to get rid of threats including said pirate clan. She no doubt found out who he is by that point. She probably does something to stop Chu Mu from succeeding and/ or got into trouble helping said friend, hence the scene.
So why do I have these bad feelings some bad things might happen to our couple. The first one is, they get separated…
He gets sent to war while she stays in the palace. Long separation is inevitable. Obstacles and conflict goes with the territory. Still this show is dubbed as a light-hearted adventure / comedy, this angst shouldn't get too heavy.
And don't worry about a sad ending. I am confident it will have a happy ending. Yitong mostly does tragedies, so fans often ask her about this aspect. She flat out said it is a sweet show. This is one of her rare shows that is happy throughout
So, whose read the novel, can you please inform me if it has a happy ending?
Li YiTong has said that the ending is very sweet (she has already seen it). Unless the editing team did some tricky, it is certain to have a happy ending.
Rumored to air on March 10! Hopefully it's not a false hope this time lol
I saw that too, but that is honestly too close. That is only a week out and the official blog still haven't move.
A more likely date I've seen is from an insider who saw some episodes already. He said it is ready to go. Trailer soon, ie in a few days, file set by next weekend and broadcast soon after.
It is true this time barring a scandal or something. Only thing keeping it from airing is finding the right date to maximize ratings.
Some interesting tidbits i saw is that they changed some of the character names, ie Cheng Chumo is now Sheng Chumu. Episode count cutted down to 55 ep. I only hope that they cutted the filler and not important story due to censorship.
Hesitant to watch because I'm not sure if I can get used to seeing a non-mature Appledog (I really liked how the…
She is calm and collected. She never whines and is thoughtful and deals with problems rationally and empathically.
She is 28 and certainly act like an adult. Unless you mean something entirely different, she is in fact very mature.
Keep in mind that her portrayal here is in line with the book and different from GGS. Ai Qing in GGS isn't Ai Qing from the book (why they changed her character that way is beyond me).
She is actually very sweet and personable as decribed in the book.
Wow, ratings went down from 8.5 to 7.9 but most of the comments are pretty okay. Wonder if it's because people…
lol, don't worry about the score. The score on this site is mostly useless for pretty much every drama. As is the case with every audience driven ratings site, the sample size is simply not large enough to drown out biases and get an actual concensous.
now about this drama, people are most definitely comparing it to GGS and have unrealistic expections. There is literally is review above complaining how this is not a continuation of GGS. The show never pretended to be so. Curious how people get that idea?
It is best to use your own judgement and don't let others make the choice for you. At the end of the day, everybody have different preferences.
After watching 8 episodes, I realised that it lacks something so I decided to rewatch GGS. I honestly skipped…
People questioning the characters have never read the novel and have the wrong preconceived notion of the characters to due GGS.
Appledog is described in the book as confident and independent on the field but is sweet, soft and cute off the field. She has a youthful look despite her age and is often shy and blushes alot. And yes she is only 3 years older then DT, in irl that is indistinguisable. This Ai Qing is lifted directly off the book.
As for Grunt, yes there should (if they don't change it) be conflict coming up for him that are spoilers. Wait and see.
Li Xian was filming during the production of this so scheduling conflict. They did show a picture of him in the slideshow during the tribute video and mentioned by name multiple times. Han was a key support character later though so I am not sure how they will tackle that with limited time to actually film.
Some people are have a bit of misconception about this and that is leading to some confusion.
This show is neither a sequel, prequel or season 2. It is a standalone product adapted directly from the novel and not based on the tv series. The characters, the setting and events can change without a sense of violation becuase it is suppose to be a different adaption on the same source. They've done this on purpose as it allows them the freedom to tell their story without being restrained by the events of the previous show as a part of this novel was already adapted in GGS. Trying to reconcile the differences between the two show is cuasing the confusion when you are not suppose to.
Having said that, the events so far are looking to line up decently (minus some details) between the two shows (though only becuase both shows are based on the same source).
Appledog will accept Solo's offer to join SP in the upcoming episodes and the Tong and Han stuff in GGS should run parallel to the DT/Appledog stuff in this show (assuming they don't deviate from the novel).
The plot is actually fairly straight forward and not difficult to understand. This show starts in the past then moves to the present (parallel with ggs) and finally forward in the future for the ending.
Hmm, so new episodes today seems to confirm what I always thought watching. Shen Siyi is bisexual and is in love…
Oof, this is what I get for hanging around on weibo before watching the episode. They get stuff ahead of time, this has not happened yet, it is the next episode. (though you can see titbits at the end of todays episode). Point still stands though.
Here the link if you want to see the deleted scenes. (Not really deleted, it is meant to be an extended version of what is broadcasted through "unofficial" channels to circumvent censorship. https://m.weibo.cn/detail/4587962530279145
Basically Siyi hook up with a girl while she was away abroad. This girl came to China hoping to rekindle their romance. Siyi is scared because of what she might reveal. There are even hints beyond the footage that suggests their relationship is sexual. Some of the footage above are in the trailer for the next episode so some form of the storyline is intact.
So the "original" story so far is Siyi went away, did things, but returned to to find Lu Ke once she realized her true feelings (she loves her), but only to find that Lu Ke is engaged and has other friends. She "settled" as the best friend, living and being close to Lu Ke is enough to make her happy despite wanting more. She has yet to reveal her orientation to Lu Ke out of fear of losing her.
Everything Siyi does or acts makes more sense with this reveal, hahaha.
Only problem is where they go from here. There is just no way they can straight out say it, keeping it ambigious is really the only option. No idea where their relationship is going to go.
I am just stunned that they made a real gl drama. Never been done despite having to hide alot of it.

It is likely restrict. The website has the option but I get region lock. The app has no such option.
They are releasing the rest for on-demand users, like pay-per-view.
