I love Ji Chang Wook's acting so much, but I wish they can pair him with someone as good at acting and bad…
What hate are you talking about? She is obviously stating her opinion. And how is her comment senseless + ignorant if all she is stating is that she can't ship him with an actress in this drama because she doesn't see their chemistry?? Stop inserting these weird ideals of hate that obviously isn't there.

I have to insert here that Nam Goong Min's villainous character in GWSS was top notch. I hated and liked him at the same time. I honestly came for the OTP but stayed for the villian because he was that charming.. and 10/10 for those abs too.

Okay I can finally say that this is the drama I was looking for!! 2017 has been somewhat disappointing but this drama right here just hits the spot. And the chemistry + friendship between the MC's is killing me with each episode.

Also, let's just have a moment of silence for how H O T Coach-nim is like holy macaroni! My dude is ripped! He is so hot. Okay. I'm done fangirling lol.

Just finished this drama and all I can say is: WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. From start to finish, this drama was like a hard pill that I couldn't swallow. This drama is the kind of drama that should've stayed a movie and left it at that but tried be something that it failed miserably at.

Let me start by saying that:
1. The characters were so unlikeable in the beginning of this drama. Everyone seemed to whine about how they weren't good enough or how HG was the root of their problems instead of trying to fix it on their own. It was annoying to watch YN play victim every time a relationship or situation blew up in her face. The fact that HG had to shoulder all the blame upon himself just made me want to throw in my towel. The characters have little to no development at all. The only character that I seemed to somewhat like that at least shined like a diamond in the rough was CEO Choi. He was like a somewhat realistic character out of the whole cast.

2. The plot. This drama didn't really have a story. There was really no conflict to begin with beside the fact that Crude Play doesn't play live and CY didn't feel like he fit into the group. That was it. After ep 9ish, the drama really fell flat with it's story, pacing, and progression. It didn't help that this drama was like 50% predictable.

3. Our MC's relationship. Words cannot express how bad Joy and Lee Hyun Woo fit as a couple in this drama. It was like seeing someone stick two pieces of a puzzle that just didn't fit. From the awkward and bland kiss scenes to the loud devotions of love, watching their love on screen made me cringe each time. They were much better as friends who supported each other rather than a couple who were scripted to be. Also joy didn't look comfortable with the affection. It was sad that SH and SY had more chemistry than our MC's.

4. The OST. It was okay but repetitive. I was bumping my head towards the beginning but by the end I wanted to be done with it. It felt like a record being played on repeat with no end.

5. The Acting. It wasn't the best but it wasn't horrible either. It was okay In terms of being watchable. I will have to point out how cringey LHW was acting as HG for me. Like the scene where HG goes to comfort IH's mother in the hospital and she tells him something along the lines of cheering up (I don't remember) and he does this thing where he crosses his eyes and does a silly face. I had to honestly pause and just hold in my laughter from how cringey the scene was. Lol.

One thing I will mention is that i liked how the drama didn't use constant flashbacks. It was nice to watch a drama without a flashback being inserted into each scene every 30 seconds. And also. Crude Play's and MUSH&Co's friendships were also nice to see. +1 for that.

Well so far, I have to say is that it's okay. I kind of like it. To me, it has it's own charm but I can't deny the fact that they use several kdrama tropes in the show such as the cheating boyfriend, a murder the MC didn't commit, bumping into the bad guy several times and being able to depict who he is because of his weird attributes (in this case him whistling), etc. But I still enjoyed despite this because I enjoy k-tropes every now and again.

And I think I know why JW hates EH. My theory is that EH is probably the guy who was with JW's girlfriend in ep 1 or 2 (I can't remember). I mean when they showed the back of the guy she was with it instantly made me think that it could've been EH and that's why JW can't bear to talk to him.

Oh and that detective work! Holy smokes! The police and detectives are incompetent if they actually think BH is the culprit without enough sufficient evidence. Not only that, the guy who picked up the murder weapon with his bare hands... like bruh. Do you not know what gloves are??!!! You went to school for this and you can't spend 5 seconds to put on some gloves???!!! Yeah but other than that I liked it.

I just rewatched it because I was feeling nostalgic and I couldn't stop the tears from flowing. It's so funny because when I watched it the first time, I didn't cry at all. But towards the end when Ji Hoon expresses his love towards Hye Soo it just got to me. Uee did amazing in this drama and Seo Jin was also wonderful. My main props go to Shin Rin Ah who had such amazing chemistry with both MC's and really brought them together. I really loved this drama from start to finish despite its flaws.

I'm only on ep. 3 and I can't follow the politics side of the plot at all. Idk if it's me zoning out or if the pacing is too fast but I can't seem to remember whose name is whose or why some of the characters are doing what they are doing excluding Yeong Joo. I'm not against a story being told at the pace the drama is telling it but I'd like if it would at least take a breather once in a while so that I can process the information given to me. Also, Dong Joo feels so inconsistent as a character sometimes like when he figures out his wife is the culprit and decides to keep it a secret. Wasnt he a man of morals and justice? I don't really understand how his character really serves a purpose in his marriage with Soo Yeon + Take Baek co. as a whole. I know it was for dad and the hospital but that's it.. I just feel like sometimes he doesn't serve a purpose and could be done without. And the rape accusation! What the heck was that writer-nim?! I'm all for revenge but falsifying rape is a no-no in my book. YJ went too far with her plans of revenge. I want to root for her but when she does things like that, it's hard to be on her side.

When the bomb was strapped to her and she realized that Min was going to also sacrifice himself along with her so she asked the gods (I think that's what you call them) to give allow her to have her powers back so she can save him. Thus, her receiving her powers back. Idk if it was because it was out of selflessness but she got them back.

Lmao what was that finale? They legit smashed everything they forgot about Ji Soo's character in the last…
@blacklatina Yeah I noticed that also. I guess it was just used as a plot device for BS to fall in love w/ him.. the typical "I'm a wounded man with too many issues who isn't happy despite my riches".

Lmao what was that finale? They legit smashed everything they forgot about Ji Soo's character in the last episode along with his horrible timing, tried to accommodate for mom's abusiveness, forced so much PPL in one episode that I could run my own business with how much PPL they used, rushed the wedding + her having kids (they've been dating for like a month or less than that!), Bong Gi was left in the dust again, and more small fillers + characters that I could care less for.
Overall: 6/10 They forgot the Subway.

I'm enjoying this drama more and more. The 1930s heavily intrigue me with Jeon Seol being a badass and all. Yoo Ah In's acting is superb and Go Kyung Pyo is so cute. I haven't been this excited for a drama in a while.

Okay? Do you want me to reward you for being a big fan? I could care less if you don't like me.

I thought so.. She didn't seem hurt when Min Hyeok ran over to her to see if she was ok. She seemed fine.

I wonder why the writer decided not to have the police squad waiting for the antagonist AFTER he shot BS. I was wondering where they were at throughout the whole scene. I couldn't even believe that BS was fine after having a bulletproof vest on. Isn't it possible for her to get hurt after being shot from a distance like that at the speed + velocity the bullet was traveling? I'm not trying to be a debby downer but it's so disappointing.
