I wonder what rate would others give of this drama if minus the fluffy... You can't deny this one is a messed…
You know they'd probably rate it very low. I think some people are dazzled by PHS and PBY's relationship in the drama that they can't see how much the writer half-assed the story.
I'm sorry I can't see what everyone else sees in this drama. The plot is all over the place, the pacing…
@namopanik I wanted to drop also but decided to watch it to see what the rave was all about and I couldn't find really find anything. Only that a woman is finally able to take care of herself without a man's help and that Min Hyuk finds her strength sexy. Tbh, not every guy out there likes a strong women so it's nice to see.
Yes! This drama had so much plot filler that it only left little room for the plot itself. If I'm going to watch a movie/tv show, I want to watch it for it's plot not filler that doesn't contribute anything towards it's characters or advancing the show even further.
I've also noticed that Hyung Sik plays the same cookie cutter characters all the time. His character deliver the same issues all the time.. Tbh, I can't even relate with his character in this drama or even feel any sympathy for him at ALL. Hyung Sik is an amazing actor but I hope to see something different from the chaebol characters he plays most of the time.
Ji Soo was totally wasted in this drama. I felt no chemistry between him and BS. It just felt awkward for me to see him attempt to convey his feelings towards her because it just didn't feel like he really liked her at all and only because the plot called for it. GD just seemed like an asshole who serves to be rude towards BS when he felt like it. His rough and hard exterior just made me dislike him as a character. The only thing that I really liked about him was that he was passionate about his job and wanting to protect society from criminals. It's such a shame because I wanted to know more about GD. Even when thrush owed flashbacks about his and BS's past, it didn't even put him in a good light for me. :/

@LuwangLeima R u kidding me?! I'm a BIG fan of WLFKBJ! I loved the show from start to finish. I'm not jealous of PBY and have enjoyed watching her since Hot Young Bloods..

@Rain I thought about it for a while and I think I can see where you're coming from and I admit defeat on not looking at BS in the bigger picture. I guess for me it maybe the disappointment in the way built things up to led to what happened to her losing her powers to her then gaining them back. They felt a bit anti-climactic for me, especially when she told the antagonist who she mistakened as her "friend" that she loses her powers when hurting an innocent. I didn't feel like I was on the edge of my seat worrying that she'd be in danger because I knew she'd eventually gain them back.

I can understand tv shows + movies having flaws but I simply can't just sit here and say that overlook some of the logic in this drama. I understand that there are stupid characters but realistically if you were almost kidnapped before there is NO WAY you are going to go out at night and walk by yourself. If they say that there's a tornado blowing outside, would you still go out and walk out in the storm knowing that you can hear the wind blowing and you could possibly be killed? It just doesn't make any sense. You can't jump from point A to point C without a point B.
I don't mind her getting her powers back, it's just I wanted to know more about BS. I wanted to know her as a PERSON. I understand her strength is what makes her BS but I also wanted the drama to go beyond just her strength because honestly when she lost it, she just didn't seem like she fit anywhere. She looked somewhat lost on what to do and it seemed like a piece of her was missing. I mean sure her mother told her that she would get used to it after a while but let's be honest, if it were you and you lost something that heavily defined you I'm pretty sure you'd feel somewhat resentful. I'm not saying to take her powers away for good.. I just wanted a BS that had more depth to her despite her strength. (I'm rambling... gah)
The side scenes were okay for a while but then the plot just drew it so thin. You could obviously tell that the writer had nothing else to give to the audience. There was so much filler yet so little plot.. Writer could've focused on BS's family. Like her father.. he doesn't seem all that happy in a marriage like that. And the mother, they could've delved more into the abuse that she dishes out on her husband. They could've even focused on BK and how he may feel about his sister having super-human strength while he doesn't. There's so many different ways that the writer could've made this story memorable but I feel like s/he just didn't execute it in a good way.
Romeo and Juliet scenes were good. I actually liked them a lot. :/

"This page is field with negative comments and your one of the contributors.~" It's called an OPINION. Try using it sometime. :) Instead of saying that I'm negative how about telling me what I said was so wrong.
I'm sorry I can't see what everyone else sees in this drama. The plot is all over the place, the pacing is so off, and characters like Gook Doo have little no depth as a character (Totally wasted Ji Soo here). The mom is abusive and just annoying. The antagonist is so sloppy that it hurts. Literally the characters in this drama make him look as if he's intelligent when in fact they all lack common sense or logic in these scenarios. Like for instance, Bong Soo's friend goes out at night ON HER OWN despite there being a killer out there. She's been beat up by the kidnapper before and was almost kidnapped twice so WHY WOULD YOU WALK OUTSIDE ALONE??!! It just didn't make any coherent sense at all. You'd think she'd stay indoors in fear of the kidnapper but no she just walks outside as if there isn't a psycho on the loose The constant filler in this drama is so excessive. How many times do we need to see the gangsters and their shenanigans? The comedy was amusing in the beginning but it is now also over excessive. And in ep. 13 + 14, I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that she loses her strength and then GAINS it back. It's like she only lost it for 2 days and then boom it's back. The writer could've delved more into BS finding herself without her powers and then granting them back to her but no. So it just felt like a waste to have her lose it only to gain them back when she asks for it. Sigh. I feel like Hyung Sik is the star of the show for me and the rest is just background noise. I really wanted to like this drama. :/
I just watched the first episode and I have to say that LAHL is pretty mediocre. I'm still confused by So Rim's trauma.. like does she have issues with singing in public? If so, then isn't that a bit contradicting because she has sang in public before. Not only that, this drama is caked up in cheese, but I'll guess I'll have to see how the rest plays out.
I just finished episode 11 and I feel so bad for LYO. My precious wifi couple. Going on to say, I really do appreciate this drama for what it's worth, a true gem. This is the first medical drama that has taught me about diseases I haven't even heard of before and where I feel really invested emotionally with the patients in the hospital rather then them just coming in and treating their diseases then forgetting about them later. I feel like each patient has helped LYO grow in a way and I'm really gonna miss this drama when it's over.
I tried watching this drama and I'm already on ep 6. This drama is overrated and too hyped in my opinion. All…
I also think it was hyped because it featured PSH and she hasn't been in a drama for a while. Which is understandable.. I mean if my favorite actress went MIA and then came back with a new drama, I would be excited also.
I tried watching this drama and I'm already on ep 6. This drama is overrated and too hyped in my opinion. All the doctors in the hospital don't really feel like doctors when all they do is joke around, do nothing, and chat about insignificant things. The relationship between HJ and JH is not romantic for me since they used to be teacher and student and who can really imagine themselves dating their teacher? I also find JH to be really pushy and somewhat insensitive towards HJ sometimes. Like when she asked him to look for the file about her grandma only for him to rip up the paper in her face. The setting of the hospital doesn't really feel professional either. It just feels like high school all over again just with adults who haven't really grown out of their kiddy phases. I also don't like how the writer threw in the "hospital-is-somewhat-corrupt-and-lets-talk-about-politics" side plot. It's very boring and I can honesty go make a bowl of cereal and come back without missing a thing. I don't want to sound like I'm hating it's just my opinion.
I'm saddened that BM is getting cut short. I can't believe KBS cut it due to its low ratings and tried to hide behind the excuse of the Olympics being right around the corner. There are dramas out there that have little to NO plot and have 20 eps that could be shortened down to 10 or 16 eps at max. I honestly feel for the writer, actors, and producers who put their time and effort into this beautifully made drama despite its low views. It has been a long time since I've been addicted to a drama with a good flowing plot. I hope that the drama can still wrap up nicely and won't feel too rushed (I doubt it though).
