Lest we forget that HJP wanted to divulge the truth earlier, but NDS didn't want to, because he hasn't had enough time to make SDM fall for him yet. But now that SDM's heart is conflicted, he conveniently wants to tell the truth, when things favor him.

The way you describe NDS here is of a master manipulator and that's the feeling I get as well.

In fact, I feel NDS goals with SDM are very clear, and he has a clear plan how to get there. He has no conflict with his emotions, in fact it's very straight line. He keeps the lie up as long as it benefits him. I think he would have made a great CEO considering how he is manipulating the situation.

HJP on the other hand, as smart as he is with investment, is absolutely a lost cat in this whole romance department. He perpetuates the lie, because he doesn't know what he will do if SDM finds out the truth.

It's not just being introduced first, it's also his backstory, his arc, his character.

it's quite sad you know. It appears the closest person to grandma is neither SDM or WIJ, but rather HJP.

I guarantee you, HJP will be most devastated when he finds out about grandma's sight.

Everything SDM is doing is not to make grandma and her life better, but really it's mostly to make SDM life better.

In some ways, HJP treats grandma better than SDM does.

Also i'm pretty sure WIJ loves her family, which includes SDM, grandma and her dad. But she's keeping all that bottled up since it would weaken her image as a strong CEO. For women in the workplace, you cannot let things like family show your weakness otherwise men will trample all over you, which is what her dad did to her.

What I don't get it is. NDS didn't listen to HJP, but why not just tell SDM the truth then and there at that time.

In fact, he may even look to be the hero at the time since he saved her face with her sister. It's NDS fault that he decide to start their relationship on a lie, when he was already ignoring HJP at that time. He easily could have just told the truth, then and there.

I would have been happy if the meat of the story was more about the bond of the sisters, or focused more of the business side of tech start ups.

But the show has devolved into your standard kdrama love triangle...

SDM and NDS are not in the love relationship quite yet. It's more business partner stage atm, and SDM treats NDS more as an ends to the means more than anything atm.

It's how he lies, it's very convincing, and it seems that he wants to tell the truth for his own benefit. Just saying it's inconsistent with his character in the first few episodes. He is starting to exhibit selfish tendencies.

She will feel betrayed, but I don't think it will matter much.

The letters helped her cross a rough patch in her life.

NDS asked his coworkers the question, would you rather work for a CEO, or have the CEO work for you. And they all wanted to have the CEO work for them.

But now, you ask yourself, would you rather mold someone, or be molded by someone. In NDS, SDM is molding him to what she needs to succeed, with HJP, it is SDM who is being molded to reach her goals.

On episode 7 now, and i'm starting to realize that NDS is a very good liar, and his willingness to lie to SDM face every time they are together is outstanding.

With Grandma and HJP, you see how uncomfortable it is for them to lie to SDM. but i've noticed for NDS, it doesn't bother him as much, I don't know if this is because of NJH acting or the way his character is written.

HJP as we can see in the first 7 episodes, does all he can to avoid being in the same room, or dealing directly with SDM because he feels uncomfortable perpetuating this lie, we even see his panicked face and etc..

For NDS, not only does he do it so smoothly and without emotion, he even adds to it, the way he lies and makes stuff up is just so second nature. In comparison HJP is not a good liar. He always makes slip ups, looks panicked, answers unconvincingly.

HJP has a lot to learn about lying from NDS, IMO.

In conclusion, NDS is a master liar, so I applaud his skills.

in real life though, having that competitiveness between sisters or brothers never ends well. In fact that negativity will always seethe in the background, so any familial connection will never be genuine, and that's the thing i'm not really enjoying.

So even if she becomes as successful or more successful than WIJ, it's unrealistic that the sisters will suddenly be close.

For a more believable end, I would need to see WIJ and SDM start something together from scratch, and they develop the same bond as the samsamtech boys in terms of share distribution.

I personally think this is a strong 8.6, rating this a 9 is not too accurate in my viewing exprience.

The cruelest ending is for HJP to end up with nobody, not even grandma. Or for Yong Shil to run out of batteries.

I mean, I think even hardcore HJP shippers know deep in their heart that endgame is NDS and SDM. There are is just too much writer bias, and promotional material to be otherwise.

Even though I feel the chemistry and storylines don't support a NDS and SDM romance, the writer's pen is way too strong.

The real love triangle is between HJP, Yong Shil and Grandma.

Does anyone have issues with SDM over competitiveness? I just have this nagging feeling, if the roles were switched, SDM would be just as bad or i'm even thinking worse then WIJ.

It's great that she's motivated to beat her sister to prove her decision right, but it all reeks of over competitiveness, extreme jealousy, and just plain old simple hater mentality.

The mentality of, "your only successful because of your parents" is plain hater speech. So what if someone got a leg up to become successful.

Even grandma is tired of this mentality of SDM, and I know people like this in real life who compares about every single thing, it's ridiculous and a huge huge turn off in a FL. For someone who doesn't regret any decision, she does her father's image a disservice by acting like this.

In comparison, HJP who comes from literally nothing, isn't being a hater to people who are given their success. He respects success, regardless of how that person got it. And I believe that it the right attitude.

At first I gave SDM a free pass, but it just keeps happening. Is this the writer projecting his/her own past life?

And I really really don't buy the whole, if SDM didn't choose NDS team, they would not have gotten in. They at least have CODA on their resume, so some CEO would have taken a chance.

On the flip side, SDM has zero credential, no college education, and everyone at hackaton would be able to see that when QRIng code her profile. In fact if NDS never chose SDM, there was a very real chance she would not be chosen due to her lack of credentials.

And this though probably escapes her, and she's never thankful to NDS and team for giving her the opportunity, but rather, she's acting like a total Mary Sue.

SDM is really not the best written FL, I actually find her sister WIJ, even with her limited screen time more interesting, as there are more things to find out about her. With SDM her main reeason for existence is to be better than her sister, even though i'm pretty sure that is not what her dad wants her to be, or her grandma.

I've already seen all the promotional material, and writer bias, so i'm pretty much ready.

That's just his mask/facade to grandma, HJP would never admit that he had or has feelings for SDM, he has spent so long keeping all those emotions buried.

So, HJP not giggling like SDM shows he wasn't excited? He didn't wait to go home to read the letter, he opened it right away and read it on the spot. While the previous letter, he just got it and pocketed it away, big tonal shift happening here.

You say i'm making assumptions on what is happening in these scenes, but you are making those same assumptions as well. The only difference is I am wiling to admit that they are at best my opinion, while you are claiming your opinions on what is happening as undisputable fact...
