yeah i normally check the ratings on shows because my viewing style pretty much aligns with the local viewing public on korea, unless the show is highly recommended by the community. Altho i understand that JTBC is one of the smaller paid cable stations, it's still quite low, lowest for ep 4.
I'm starting to wonder if PD's are focusing on getting netflix shares more than local shares, which doesn't make sense since they get susbtantial amount from PPL's only sold in korea.
My personal theory is using back to the future mechanics with some Steins:gateLet us say there are 1000 parallel…
Yeah, unforunately, your going to have to assume a lot of these plot fillers are happening off screen, and will only be further explained in writers interview later down the road.
In this world where lee lim is ruler, the flute still serves to purpose to travel both parallel and back and forth. So yes, he is abe to steal the key, travel to this alternate universe, save himself.
I think the father needed to die, otherwise too many things will change, and who knows maybe the father was actually not a good ruler and would have sent corea into ruin.
He could have gotten the ID card from the future version of world A republic of corea, who already had met LG from world B in the future, and would know what items to leave behind to for LG of present time in world B.
Does anyone wanna explain how it's even possible for him to save himself? In order for that to occur, he would…
My personal theory is using back to the future mechanics with some Steins:gate
Let us say there are 1000 parallel worlds. And in 999 of them (this includes the current world B), Lee lim kills Lee Gon
There is only one where LG is alive, but in this timeline his world sucks, since lee lim is the supreme ruler of the world.
So he analyzes and determines time line 1 or World A is where LG is best life with TE alive and etc.., but first he needs to make sure that LG will not die as a child.
So he travel to that timeline and stops that, thus ensuring the best timeline possible.
I see some people gravitating towards the PM's character. She's an interesting one but the way she's portrayed…
I personally she's the best written female character on the show, because TE is just downright just a lapdog of the king at the moment.
She has her ups and down, but yeah, your right, each episode just keeps writing her to the ground, but she's certainly an interesting character, she is in some ways the underdog that we kdrama viewers always root for
The main problem I fee we see is that I kind of wish they didn't use monarchy as the system of government in corea, because KTEM version of monarchy is nothing like the real thing.
Throughout the show we are just presented this pathetic watered down verson of monarchy, where the prime minster is insulted and hated by everyone in the show, while the pompous and arrogant king is beloved by literally everyone. And the way the powers are presented is so inacurrate as well. KES shoud at least have googled how monarchial systems work before writing KTEM.
And I really hated that a portion of the countries wealth was exclusively the KIngs as well, I absolutely hated it, it felt like the writer spent too much time making LG omnipotent.
At this point KES should just make LG immortal or a goblin or something.
I don't understand how come eastern dramas just don't bother doing their research. Like don't get me started on their medical dramas lol.
In comparison, even garbage shows like grey's anatomy does a great job of doling out decent medical information. By all time favorite medical drama is House. Almost all the info being doled out there are fairly realistic.
I think don't think of the parallel worlds are linear, and don't be bothered too much about the age of people.…
to keep it simple asume World A and world B are just the same linear world.
World A is like 25 years ahead of World B. Also assume that somewhere in World A timeline the timeline diverge to create world B. Similar to back to the future series.
Age doesn't matter much to time travellers because the show created the Limbo, which is a fantasy element.
So my theory eventually one of the world will disappear and we will only be left with 1 world.
Does this make sense? lol
this is my first time travel drama in MDL, i've seen il mare and signal tho, but those are simplistic.
I've seen several with reincarnations which are kind of similar.
I've seen people recommend Dark and Someday or one day.
My personal favorite is Steins:gate, but it's an anime and not sure if you'd like that.
please no, just 16 is fine, no need to prolong this.
more people will be watching Kdrama these days due to lockdown, but it's not really just KTEM that's getting people on the hallyu wave, shows like Mr Sunshine, Mystic pop up bar (top 10 in asia) and Kingdom are what are drawing people in.
And kingdom is doing really well since a lot of people were introduced to Train to Busan, which is getting a sequel btw.
please no, just 16 is fine, no need to prolong this.
The interesting this, I don't believe this is a live filming, where extra episodes can actually happen.
But if it was, then there s a bigger chance of it getting reduced rather than prolonged due to the poor feedback in Korea.
In live shows, the ending, writing, even production and editing can change due to netizens demand. And when they say netizens, they don't mean the international fans, its the local fans. So according to ratings local korean watchers are not loving it.
I've just seen to many parallel universe, time travel shows that i've been spoiled, so when something like this comes up, it baffles me.
Even Xmen and Marvel does a better job of doing this.
I've given KES so much chances here, and I won't drop this since i've invested so much time, but it's really been disappointing. I kept hoping the prime minster and shinjae will get nice resolutions, but I am seriously doubting it now.
The concept of time travel is messed up in KTEM because things that happened in parallel universe should not effect each other, regardless of which point in time, but it does.
can someone help me?so if Lee Gon saved his young self 25 years ago, then how did he get the memo at the time…
I think don't think of the parallel worlds are linear, and don't be bothered too much about the age of people.
Like for example world A and world B, at any time can be parallel regardless of the age of the people in each world.
Would make it simpler to understand.
Don't overthink the science here, this parallel world/time travel concept has been done better by other shows, So just watch those shows, to help you explain what is happening in KTEM.
The thing is those so called positive comments in themselves are no better than the negative comments in terms of substance.
some of the negative comments are based on actual logic, and do come off as constructive.
While the positive comments are really simplistic "Best drama ever!" "I love LMH!" "this drama is better than all 2020 drama" "your all dumb for not liking this drama"
As you can see, all one liners, nothing to back them up. Just simple overexaggerations and fandoming.
I prefer the negative aspects as it shows me the flaws in the drama and helps me imagine how much better it could have been.
I'm starting to wonder if PD's are focusing on getting netflix shares more than local shares, which doesn't make sense since they get susbtantial amount from PPL's only sold in korea.
Seems like an interesting premise, and the trailer looks cool.
Regardless i'll watch it when all the episodes are done, I won't make the same mistake with KTEM where I have to wait each week.

well it make sense LMH in the trailer is a hottie. And his handsomeness is universally appealing IMO.

Even if your not physically travelling time, your thoughts/subconcious is. Similar to Steins:Gate
