I would like to discuss about ep 13 and see people's opinions about it, but all I can see is people saying they…
people may be tired of this drama, but they've already invested so much time, so might as well finish.

And it's human nature to criticize and comment on the things they don't want. If all you wanted was good vibes, like I said, this forum isn't the best place, you shoud go to KTEM fan pages.

You know when they say, either you like it or you don't. Well in this one, a lot of people don't, and it's not just like a small portion.

So just like you want to hear people's opinion on why they loved it. Other people here want to see people who agree with them that this is bad, or it's confusing.

Commentary always goes both ways.

well this is not unique problem to KTEM, most kdrama's even the highly rated ones like Goblin and TWOTM fall flat…
in the end, people normally tune in to Kdrama because of the emotions that you take form them. Namely good feelings of love from soulmates, family, coworkers, classmates, some puppy love. Basically good feelings.

I really don't believe that people are watching Kdrama, even the sci fi or fantasy ones because oh wow, they have such high production values compared to hollywood or other countries tv shows. They are not there for the spectacular top of the line special effects and CGI. It's really for the romance, stories of healing, filial piety and etc...

So when a drama lacks those important elements, it negates the purpose of watching the drama.

Also twist in Kdrama typically sour in comparison to movies due to the drama length is so long, that there is so much time for clues to be processed and theories to be made. While movies only give you 2-3 hours to figure things out.

That was the reason why I couldn't buy their love story.. Like we all were sure that the savior might be a guy..…
this kind of instant love isn't the first time i've seen it. In love from the Star, JJH basically spends the next 10 years or so, ignoring the chaebol suitor, while waiting for that guy who saved her life when she was a kid, eventho she doesn't get a good look at him, or remembers his face, but she became obsessed with KSH character the whole time.

But for some reason, it was so well done there, that it made sense. And the guy KSH did so many things to later deserve her love.

What has KGE done to deserve LMH love? Nothing at all, just acting cute, looking cute, and showing her supposed "cop" skills? lol!

For some time I kept thinking, wow, for such a high production drama, they could not find a stunt double that was a girl? they had to use a guy stunt double. Then I realize it was suppose to be a big reveal. Color me disappointed.

lol, got to save it for the BIG reveal. The so called complex twist are really grade 1 level. You should watch…
yeah, I read the books, so I fell in love with the show, but even I think the shows could have been done better.

I still think 24, specially the first few seasons included the best cliffhangers ever shown on tv at the end of each episode. I literally could not stop myself from binge watching each season.

are you for or against? its confusing, you posted those numbers and the only thing KTEM has going for it, is that…
social commentary is your definition of a good show?

Look at cheese in the trap. tons of review, more than double the watchers compared to TKEM. and more than 4,000 comments. Guess what rated 7.8, with lots of that precious social commentary being negative.

Fact of the matter, when a drama is really good, there will be less social commentary, because there is only a few ways you can elaborate when something is good.

Like if a drama is good people will say:
"Great drama!"
"I agree"
"Absolutely loved it"

But when a drama is bad or controversial:
"I hated it"
"I love it"
"This is what I hated"
"Your a troll"
"Your a hater"
"no your the hater"

See? when the audiences are so split, it is natural for a show to have so much comments. A lot of comments or social commentary is not a sign of a great kdrama.

well this is not unique problem to KTEM, most kdrama's even the highly rated ones like Goblin and TWOTM fall flat in certain aspects. But like a lot of Kdramas, the romance and chemistry of the leads, second leads are what makes you stay.

So when the romance/chemistry is missing, there is nothing left to prop up a incomplete story.

I CAN'T WITH PEOPLE WHO CAN'T SLEEP PEACEFULLY ONCE THEY FIND OUT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY ENJOYING THIS AMAZING…
this comment area is for both defenders and critics If you can't abide criticism and discussion in an open forum, maybe you should be posting on a KTEM fan site instead where all you will get are yes men/women.

Yes I get what you are saying that is why I find it really boring as a " twist " because either there was a timeline…
I've followed the prime minister from day 1, and I fell in love with her character because I can understand what it feels like to be in a position of power but constantly disrespected because your a woman. So even tho some of her moves have been diabolical, I emphatize with her. So consider me sad to see her character relentlessly butchered by this writer. Does KES not know how to write women characters?

Yeah Luna was introduced early, with no backstory for so long, I don't feel connected to her character at all.

Shinjae was another character i made an early investment in, but sad to see where his plotting is going,

I've really lost more and more interest in this drama as it heads to the finale, because i'm tired of being force fed the fact that Lee Gon is like the perfect human being, and basically a God and I need to accept KGE as his wife. The romance is so unrealistic and the portrayal of the king as demi god is so laughable. I wish they didn't over glamorize this fact as everyone knows the monarchial system is not suppose to be this powerful, the royal family is just a figure head.

I don't understand how a 7 year old LG, does not recognize his savior is a 6'2, and muscular built guy, and for 25 years, just assumed it was a girl because of the ID tag? For someone supposedly smart, I felt this fact is very dumb.

All mysteries opened one by one! Real PM Koo is alive but her doppelganger was dead. The one who saves Lee Gon…
Because young LG assumes the one who saved him was a girl, eventho it was very obvious it was a guy, but you know he was bleeding, so he can't tell the difference between 6 footer muscular guy and a girl. So he fell in love with his savior.

this is what I find confusing, KES does a really good job of making shinjae have depth, opening room for prime minister to have a redemption arc.

But for some reason forgot to give the ML and FL similar treatment Those two just have no depth or character, and it's not just their acting that is an issue.

I had a hunch the prime minister would not get a good ending, and I won't be suprised if they took a dump on shinjae's arc as well They are the two interestng ones in this drama, but i'm sure their arc will suffer to make the ML and FL more stronger lol. ep 13 fail
