Talks about deleted scenes and sabotage got me thinking: Who released the cut scenes to the public and why? Was it the production team to console the viewers? If so, it seems to have backfired because those who watched those scenes felt robbed while those who didn't see them couldn't care less and enjoyed the drama.
Or was it sabotage, knowing how disappointed this will make those who saw the deleted scenes? If so, it worked. But I hope the saboteurs won't have the last laugh.
i'm really enjoying it. the story is unique. so are the characters. it has romance, comedy, mystery and drama. to top it off, i think Dylan looks his best here :)
That the queen knew what happened meant YL did the right thing. The walls in her house have eyes and ears. She…
I cried so hard in that scene, as much as I did in ep 31 of Love Between Fairy and Devil. And this is just ep 23. If there are more heart-breaking scenes, this is going to top my list of tear-jerkers
it's just right for me. They start out as sort of comrades, to watch out for each other in dangerous circumstances. Along the way, they develop tender feelings for each other. I think it is in ep 5 that the ML falls in love. The FL is not the coy type (understatement haha); she does not keep him waiting too long
Yes ep 23 is so heartbreaking, but yes i am rewatching it simply because the love that is oozing out from the…

Hellfire is strongest when DFQC is devoid of emotions, so, apparently, no. Before he "died", he acquired Glazedfire which is more powerful than Hellfire

The main theme, a eunuch who uses his beauty to climb the ladder in palace politics so he can avenge his brother's death, is rather heavy. I guess the drama uses comedy to lighten the mood as well as to showcase the FL's wit and her sweet, playful relationship with the ML. From what I've seen in Chinese dramas, there is a belief that those who have suffered would be rewarded with happiness once they've overcome their challenges. This drama seems to be in that mold.
I think its not really about showing any scene but particular ones, concerning women. Its a theory - an ugly one,…
yeah, I did feel the chemistry between BJT and TXW and I enjoyed NLB. It has a wholesome aura while UL has darker tones. One member of the production team who spoke up about the censorship mentioned "content and theme" as some reasons.
When you reach that level where your only competition is yourself.
MTD was lambasted in China. A weaker actor would have crumbled from the harsh criticisms. But Dylan showed his humility, resilience and strength. He garnered praises for his acting in his dramas after it - The Rational Life, Love Between Fairy and Devil and now, Unchained Love

New Life Begins probably got reviewed before the new censorship rules. Also, the theme of UL (about a eunuch who used his beauty to rise in palace hierarchy - akin to prostitution) is already scandalous. Add to it the popularity and sexiness of Dylan and a super tight censorship is not surprising. Dylan is smoldering hot in this drama; just seeing the expression in his eyes when he looks at Yuqi already causes my heart to flutter more than it did when I watched Bai Jing Ting kiss Tian Xi Wei :)

But this gives me hope for a happy ending since there seems to be a belief in cdrama world that one has to suffer to attain happiness.
