they all don't want us to see Xiao Duo and Bu Yinlou being intimate, so I guess we can just rely on vivid imagination like BYL's 🤣

They had two nights together and a cute moment on the bridge. I'm armed for the next bout of heartbreaking scenes

It used to be 8.8. There are two possible reasons for the rating drop that have been discussed in other comment threads:
- viewers getting mad at deleted scenes
- sabotage

Here's hoping those viewers who got mad at deleted scenes cool down and not let a few minutes of cut scenes thrash the hard work of the cast and production crew. As for saboteurs, here's hoping they grow a conscience and realize it's not right to put a rival down so their idol or drama may go up.

thanks for the warning about ATWIL. I'm not fond of misunderstandings either. I've long been intrigued with Memory of Encaustic Tiles coz of the title :) I guess it's time to give this and HSDSS a go,

coz of the rage of some viewers about deleted scenes. There's also some talk about sabotage. There are threads about these below. In any case, ratings normally fluctuate while the drama is airing. I hope viewers will eventually realize how good the story, characters, acting, cinematography, music , etc. are and give the drama a fair rating

As she has shown countless times, Bu Yinlou is extraordinarily smart. She found out Xiao Duo is taking androgen-inhibiting drugs which can only mean he is faking being a eunuch. That's why I really like BYL. She does not need long explanations to understand stuff.

Regarding my comment about backfiring, it's obvious that the audience knowing some scenes have been cut had a negative effect on the drama's rating, not only in mydramalist (from 8.8 to 7.9), but also in douban (7.3 to 7.1). If the audience didn't know about cut scenes, there wouldn't be this much noise about the "bath-tub scene". I've noticed some bad editing in other parts of the drama, but it seems the audience glossed over them as I did, without any noise.

Chen Yuqi looks prettier and prettier with each viewing. I hardly knew her before watching Unchained Love. Now, she's among my favorite cdrama actresses. Her comedic timing is impeccable and she is good in dramatic scenes too. I love how Bu Yinlou manages to turn the tables on evil schemes by using her wit, like when the empress tried to use her to frame the emperor or when Eunuch Liu bullied her. I'm looking forward to more scenes of her in sticky situations that she would use her wit out of.

Another thing I love about Bu Yinlou:
She doesn't get fazed that an emperor is aggressively pursuing her. She doesn't get fazed with the trappings of wealth in Xiao Duo's residence. But she was awed by the pear tree he transplanted to his home.

i have watched up to ep 24 and now rewatching from ep 1 (3rd watch). After Yinlou's investigation and knowing XD has a brother, she has figured things out. I don't feel the drama needs to drag out XD's revelation to her. It was enough that he told her the truth in concrete terms. I feel it's more important to find out his brother's murderer and the reason.

Can you remember which parts in the drama feel like they are missing something? I just rewatched the (in)famous eunuch reveal scene and it's still ok for me. I was so impressed with Xiao Duo's sting operation against the Prince of Nanyuan that the eunuch reveal felt like a bonus. Anyway, at this time, both Yinlou and the audience already know about it.

Regarding the release of BTS including censored parts, if the production company did it, that's really brazen of them. Based on the noise about the cut scenes, their trick backfired.
