I dare say, if he didn't meet Yinlou, he wouldn't be him this day. He would still try to kill the killer, be the…
True. He said he only had hatred before he met her. Now, he is still willing to risk his life to avenge Duo but she is tens of thousand times more important than his life . He cannot risk losing her.
I don't understand why there are some pp, who decide not to watch a certain drama or movies, yet just have time…
This is one sabotage tactic - diss a drama or rate it low for reasons other than its quality. Unfortunately, I've seen it many times in fan forums. It seems to be done usually by fans of rival actors or dramas.
This drama should have just made Cao Chun Ang more nosy and clueless so it didn't need to be censored 🤣🤣🤣. He has a knack for interrupting the lovebirds while they're in compromising situations 🤣🤣🤣
Indeed, I find the way XD’s revenge was resolved very sensible and commendable too. It must taken XD a strong…
i like what XD said about being freed of his sins and starting afresh too, though I had a foreboding of what it would take. BYL's remark about his sword's legend, that the owner would die and be reborn is scary

The way his brother's death was indirectly avenged is brilliant. I was hoping it would go this way as I am getting tired of revenge-driven plots in cdramas. The drama did not disappoint. Xiao Duo and Bu Yinlou lived up to their intelligent and sensible characters,
It is this sort of tone that make me feel that even if either of them end up being secret royalty, they are not…
I agree. Bu Yinlou craves freedom. She jumped at every opportunity not to live in the Imperial City. She would be miserable being cooped up in a palace. And Xiao Duo would be miserable if she is. I think Unchained Love is about freedom.
This drama has many good things going for it - the story, cast, acting, cinematography, soundtrack, etc.
But I think what made this great is Xiao Duo's remark about revenge, "What does the justice I've been seeking actually look like? I used to think just killing the murderer would be able to put an end to the killing. Will there really be an end? All these years countless people have died at my hands. What's the difference between someone like (the murderer) and me?... The justice I want is not having people use their power and status to ride above others, and getting to decide who lives and who dies, controlling the fates of others for the sake of their own selfish desires... I hope the law will give these people the punishment they deserve."
Hearing this in a genre where revenge is kinda de rigueur is a pleasant surprise. I really love this drama.
glad to hear good news about this drama after reading complaints about cut scenes since ep 20
yey, that's a relief to know. I've been worried coz the Douban rating has been going down. Last time I looked, it went down from 7.3 to 7.1. And I heard it even went lower. I haven't checked the latest rating yet, as I don't want to feel worse

The characters are truly unique. it's the first cdrama i've watched where the male lead is a eunuch, or pretending to be. The female lead appears to be ditsy or pretending to be, but is actually smart and bad-ass. The emperor is an enigma. I couldn't figure out if he is really stupid who became drank with power or whether he is a master manipulator from the get-go. This is gem.

Exactly, the story keeps getting better and better with each episode. I also love XD's and BYL's wit, humor and intelligence. They are so compatible, it's a joy to watch their relationship develop.
This drama's pros greatly outweigh the cons. I have watched too many cdramas and this one is nowhere near as bad…
I strongly agree. What keeps me engrossed with this drama is the unique storyline and characters. They are not predictable, keeping me curious about what will happen next.
I also suspect sabotage. Might it have caused the strict censorship? Do you think iQIYI might have been a party?
Earlier comments discussed other possible agents of sabotage like fans of rival actors/dramas bringing the ratings down, not only in MyDramalist but also in Douban.
Episodes 31 & 32 were released yesterday (1/18), 33 & 34 today (1/19) and 35 & 36 tomorrow (1/20).
