I don't think it a plot hole, this drama actually 50 episodes and they cut it into 40, so maybe the cut scenes part including what you mention above

I can say, i love 2 episodes today. Especially ep.16, LOL

The most irritate me of course our beloved Qiao Concubine. It's been a while i found a characters like this. In reality i admire her acting, but as a viewer who support our leads, i want her out of screen, LOL.

After watched episode 14. I feel urge to throw something to her smilling face, LOL.

That is a modern way of thinking and yes, i also agreed. But if you as a man raised in a country where your emperor have many concubines, as a noble and a ' servant' to emperor, don't you attempt to have more that one wife?? The servant follow that the 'master' do, that a common things. Just saying LOL.

Well just like any other mother in this kind period drama. They should reply kindness and create connection through marriage ( this is the easiest way and most trusted way) and have as much as heir to continue their clan lineage LOL.

Yes, i love under the power too. Yes, i like slow burn romance in this kind period dramas.

The Romance in this drama are super subtle...but it probably just me, i feel their overflowing chemistry from the first time he save her, LOL. Well TSY is one of Queen of chemistry actress, so i might be bias LOL.

On point, LOL.

For some people who said this drama is boring, maybe this not your cup of tea drama and you should move on to watch another drama that suite your taste. And for those who said he has so many wife, please note this drama is period drama when at that time slavery is common and people who have a high status have more that 1 concubines. And it is also common to marry a daughter to get a better status or maintain status at court or maintain connection. This not Modern drama. I personally like this kind of drama where some people schemes to get what they want while the others survive the evil deed and the romance is slow build and subtle skinship to create chemistry. Common romance modern drama are not my taste, where they put too many kissing scenes just to attract viewer but have a super dumb FL and super boring plot.

Yes. Thank god she did not married as legal wife. Her scheme are so low, poor little kid :(

After watching today episodes. I officially hate the Qiao Concubine!

At first i also feel sad for her, but after watched 10 episodes. I don't feeling that anymore, LOL. Her acting is so good.

He has 1 legal wife ( then passes away) and 2nd legal wife ( FL). And 3 concubines ( which he married because certain condition ).

I think 2 episodes a day. It's 45 episodes, maybe it will reach end on last day of march usually they will throw 10 last episodes in one time, if it like this it will end before last date of march. :)

Up to episodes 10, and it's getting better and better. I personally like how the husband-wife interact to each others. It's interesting while the others try to gain the 'husband' attention, while the legal wife did not care at all. I think i can guess why the ML finally love the FL. She the only wife he had that doesn't care about him or use him to gain favor, LOL...
And i love how the story use peony and plum to describe what they want...it's better than telling, i don't like my husband, you can have it if you like him.... somehow it show how smart the FL.

So far, i like this drama a lot!
