Me too. A really afraid of that too. But so far, the gestures are symbolics and still in proper manner, so nothing will cause trouble. And it's kind of game fir me international viewer to guess those symbols and find out the meaning LOL.

Well to be fair. First the genre is different, WOH is wuxia and story revolved around pugilist world. and TU is more about cultivation world. But in term of essence both highlight friendship, trust, betrayal and past tragedy. If you more a wuxia person, you might be like this better. I personally enjoy both, LOL. Cultivation world have it charms its own. And of course wuxia too. It never bored watching a good fight and scheming of that-so-called orthodox sect which always hide in the name of justice and honor. LOL

I hope that too for chinese drama. I once watched several episodes of chinese drama version of Nodame Cantabile and i -- as a fans of the manga, anime and drama version are gravely and sadly disappointed by it adaptation. So i understand if the book fan feels like that. But i also understand scriptwriter and all dramas team need to consider many aspect and consideration to adapt novel into drama. So far the story change did not bother me at all and still make senses. I hope it will until the drama finish. LOL.

I think why they better adapt it from novel. First the novel it quite known and even though there are many change in plotwise, just by promote it drama from novel adaptation, it drama already gain popularity among it's novel reader who probaby curious how accurate this drama
from the novel. And in my opinion, drama that taken from novel or webnovel or any adaptation tend to attracted more viewer than original script one. But of course all of these just opinion and observation based on my experiences watched many drama, LOL.

Yes, a very strong wuxia theme!! I miss this kind of wuxia drama, take me to the time when i watched To liong to, dragon gate inn, and many more.

Maybe to add some mystery ( which result viewer curious who killed her mother) -- which i think it is a good strategy to maintain viewer before they absorb to the drama itself. Not many viewer like this kind of drama where a man have many wifes, i think. and( like i said in comment before) to give another strong reason that motivate Shiyiniang to willingly agree to marry into marquis house, which fits her characters, because before she eventually fall in love with the marquis, her only concern is to find her mother killer. I think this is fits the story and her personality like not care about
who manage a household as long as it run well, or care about her husband affair with their concubines. And Imho, if the mother alive after shiyi married, the mother will not play any important role to the story, so it also a good strategy to reduce the cost, LOL. And maybe the killer will give a good contribution for the development of the couple.

I also want to read english version of Sword and Brocade novel, but i heard only partly are translated, so maybe after this drama finish i will try to read it and some one will kind enough to finish the translation. LOL.

And yes, i also find QSCK novel in that link. Right now, He yan is my favorite. But Mio story is one of the Top 5 webnovel story i like the most. Black belly, under the power and PGC is my top 3. LOL

I don't read the original novel so i don't know how different this drama from novel. From my understanding why they need to killed the mother it quite a make sense for me. They need another reason so FL willingly agree with the marriage. And one of the reason is to find her mother killer which have a hint in the marquis manor. For changing the children characters maybe because it quite difficult to find children to act as in novel.

Yes,i read about this a lot in comment section. Some people dropped it because he has many wife and children. Well i think if you used to watch this kind of period historical drama, you will know in the past in many countries, not just china, man tend to have a multiple wife. Especially some one with high status like noble and royal family.

At first i don't have planning to watch this drama. but after i heard many says that it very much wuxia and jianghu style. i watched episode 1 and i'm hooked and binge watching it till episode 8 . i'm not a priest novel fan or any BL novel. it's been a while i watched drama full of Jiang hu style fighting and for BL part, i don't have any problems at all. LOL. WKX characters remind me Gu yong hwa ( Song joongki character) of korean drama sungkyunkwan scandal. i watched it at youtube, but can anyone tell me, the schedule of English translate version ? up till now only 8 episodes available.

For me at first i just worry when i know seven tan will act as a mature
andcharacters because even though she already 30, but her face is look like teenager . But turn out until this episodes i enjoy watching it.

Errr..who give spear as present to child not older than 5 year old. The stupidity of the characters sometimes amaze me. And moreover blame it on FL ? Is her brain ok??
