Person Fukuda Saki
Happy late b'day... I don't know what happened in detail, but I hope her role in KR Gotchard means she'll slowly get more roles from now on. Maybe no main roles, but getting back to the screen(s) doing supporting roles at least. I hope she will improve, if she really didn't have good behavior. She is too talented of an actress to throw it all away due to unprofessional conduct on her part. Best wishes for her career and hope to see more great performances from her.

Ok, after reading the DMCpawn's review, I'll probably go a bit more easy on this. Let me start with why I wanted to watch this movie at all- Fukuda Saki. One of the only instances where she was the main female lead, unfortunately, was in this movie. And, of course, she was amazing. But the rest of it.... Not amazing. I don't know the first thing about the anime. Now that I've learned that this came from an anime, the ending makes a lot more sense. It's not bad, per se. Just not my cup of tea. I'm used to watching 21st century Tokusatsu, not this cartoony stuff. And now I can say that I went out of my comfort zone to give this a shot as a person who never watches any kind of anime whatsoever. The only other upside besides Fukuda Saki, is that there's a song in the soundtrack that Fukuda Saki also performed.
Absolutely hated the frequent suggestive jokes, it's uncomfortable for me to hear, sorry.
2/10.

Finally finished them, again on YoiTV. Since they're all about a different story, not all of them are equally good. Episode 4 was alright and episode 5 was decent, probably better than episode 4. 8/10

Actually, I do know quite a bit of Japanese, and I watched the episode raw, and that's when I made that comment. Maybe a close translation of "Kasaneru" could be "overlapping"? That's what I interpreted as. And it's possible that she likes him as a friend, but since we don't get a confirmation this season, we might never know. Unless... There's a season 2, which I'm eagerly hoping and praying for.

Thoughts on the one on one interaction between Saijo and Serizawa in the finale:
It can be interpreted two ways. One, the way Serizawa interpreted it, to take it word for word- that she was worried about him like she would worry for her father/family member. I don't think this is necessarily what's going on inside her head. The other interpretation I made is, she said that to explain her unlikely behavior and since she was simultaneously trying to figure out things with her father and get closure, she said that her worry for Serizawa overlapped with how she would worry for a family member (i.e. a brother or a father). I think it means, she became all the more angry with Serizawa because her father's incident was simultaneously on her mind. And she couldn't bear to understand why two people in her life (for whom she cares about) would make similar decisions that endangered their lives. Whether she cares about him like a friend or has feelings for him is still unknown. But I'm not convinced that her answer means she sees him as a family member. Serizawa didn't know about her investigating about her father, and that's why he reached that conclusion.

Definitely do a high-rated dramas challenge next. This was super fun.. P.S. I usually prioritize the plot and cast if I try to watch a drama, because my ratings can sometimes be very different from the other MDL members. But this article makes me want to watch Princess Princess D, there are a lot of actors I love in the cast.

Title Is She the Wolf? Spoiler
I know right! break the rules and have julie and robin get together!
It's just my theory, but I think they have the participants sign a contract, that in case they fall in love, the wolf can't date the person even if they want to. Or why else is this so dang sad? But that's just my theory.

Problematic? Yes. Slow? Without a doubt. Creepy? 100%. Weird? Definitely. But my unbiased experience while I watched this drama- I didn't completely hate it. Now that I'm reading the comments after coming here, it made me realize I didn't exactly care about, notice, or react to a lot of the negative stuff like others did. Does that make me a mindless watcher? Maybe in this case. But I think if I got more emotionally invested(negatively speaking), the watch wouldn't be entertaining at all for me. Plus, why criticize a drama that I know isn't good to begin with? One thing I did like- Shian and Hasumi's story. I liked how she learned to overcome her fear bit by bit with Hasumi's help and moved on.
This certainly isn't everyone's cup of tea. Neither is it mine. But I thought it seemed interesting from the trailer, gave it a shot and stuck with it till the end because I don't usually drop a drama even if it's not great. 5/10 because I have watched dramas worse and less entertaining than this one.
