It has been my dream to hear Keito sing more solo songs since 2020. Him being a part of 8loom only fueled that dream even more, and that dream finally became a reality after all this time in 2025. It's truly a sin that he doesn't release his own music, though. The world NEEDS more songs sung by him. The popularity of Tokubetsu Nante is living proof of my words.

About the cast: As a Tokusatsu fan, if I look at the male leads actors, then I can only laugh. Who thought the Ryusoulger actors would have collaborations (some I liked, some I DESPISED) with so many Kamen Rider actors down the line? Not to mention, Keito collaborating with every 8loom member in acting projects, except for NOA.

Sigh.... Keito. He's probably destined to play second leads for a few more years, especially if he picks so many Shoujo manga adaptations. He doesn't stand a chance in that genre. Although, I believe he definitely deserves a main role in a romance (a regular one, not Shoujo manga) movie at this point. This is because I've been seeing his acting for the past 6 years, he has definitely grown as an actor and there's a good range in his acting, as well as the type of projects he's been doing lately, a lot of which have been movies. Yes, he has done a few romantic lead roles in dramas, but none of them were very satisfying or likable to me. *me side eyes Batsuichi Ga Moteru Nante Kiitenai*

I usually don't watch the trailers, but the marketing of this adaptation is not great for me as an audience member, because the marketing for the second movie actually makes me think that Yu might actually have ANY sort of chance with her whatsoever, despite me being 10000000000000000000000% aware that he does not. And in the first movie, Yu doesn't even have any significant moment with Reina. The really good moments (aka kyun moments) he shares with her are both in the second movie.
After rewatching the 2nd film, I understood that the REASON WHY Yu DIDN'T STAND A CHANCE with Reina was essentially…
Yeah, the 2nd movie actually has the word "propose" in it, but I didn't expect Reina to actually get proposed to in the last scene. Proposals are rare in Shoujo manga adaptations, as far as I've seen.
After rewatching the 2nd film, I understood that the REASON WHY Yu DIDN'T STAND A CHANCE with Reina was essentially because he couldn't recognize her without makeup. That was the issue in the first film, as well as the 2nd. It wasn't even about Shun, like, "Oh, but I like someone else..." Nuh uh. Whenever Yu would confess and tell her to choose him, Reina would constantly think about her "secret", even after she became an adult and got into college. This is why Yu couldn't get her despite Shun moving away for 3 WHOLE FREAKING YEARS. Oh, and how she stopped Yu from kissing her despite being drunk is also beyond me. She couldn't even stand up straight, for goodness' sake. But I was glad that Yu didn't go through with anything that would make me hate him.
So the reason why he never stood a chance was because Reina couldn't trust him... I'm probably gonna lose my mind if I get into it too deep, but in short, even if there was absolutely nothing wrong with Yu, it came down to the fact that she couldn't trust him, and because he didn't have the ability to see through her "miraculous" transformation. Which I obviously find to be extremely unfair, as usual of Shoujo manga adaptations. No offense to the people who like this genre, but I find this whole setup to be extremely unfair and unrealistic.
How the HECK is Alan not Padlom's endgame??!! Seriously, did you see the chemistry? Forget chemistry, just watch the interactions. After Alan took care of Padlom when she was feeling unwell, there wasn't one interaction the 2 of them had where they both weren't smiling!!!! I came here after watching Tay and Punpun in Gentlebros and I'd say I'm not disappointed in terms of the scenes I saw between the 2 of them. Those 2 have amazing chemistry on screen. Every single one of their moments were adorable and meaningful, even compared to Gent. Given how grumpy and frown-faced Padlom is, she was smiling SIGNIFICANTLY more when she was with Alan from ep 4 onwards. Seriously, both their chemistry and the fact that they're not endgame here are bizarre!
I know he's a BL star and all, but I'm obsessed with his and Punpun's pairing. Seriously, Tay and Punpun need to be paired up again in a drama!! They're just too adorable in The Three Gentlebros!!

Thanks for the response. I've stopped trying after the 5th try. I'll probably wait and see if some other platforms license it or something otherwise, I'll just try again later.
It was alright for the short length series it was. Funny and kinda cute. Watched it for Yuna, obviously, so that part was fully satisfactory. Otherwise, not a big deal. 7/10.Too bad they pay walled the last few episodes on the app now. Back when it first released, I could watch it for free by waiting out for another episode to unlock or by watching an ad. Guess I can never revisit it entirely anymore.
Looking back on it a year later, I may have jinxed things with Takanashi Rin and Inaba Yu... Sheesh, I HATE it when this happens!!! From good Toku collabs to... Creepy ones. 🥶 Seriously, JP drama producers/casting directors or whoever is in charge of the casting in JP dramas nowadays has all my hate right now. Giving me everything I DON'T want and NEVER giving me the thing I do want.
If anyone wants to write an article on MDL about Ryusei, his career and craft, now is a pretty good dang time, with all of his fabulous works recently. Though he has been making some questionable hair choices lately, imo. Nothing against anyone who likes it, just not a big fan of his recent somewhat curly longer than usual hairdo personally. Not sure what it looks like right now, but I hope he changed it/changes it soon.
This HAS to get licensed, or else it's a crime. I haven't even watched it yet, but everything I've heard is VERY impressive. Seriously, the commercial success and positive feedback from the audience surely means this film is worthy of winning some BIG national and hopefully international awards. It's pretty self-explanatory: a "National Treasure" for Japanese cinema this year, hopefully.
Wow, I can't believe I never wrote my review/comment after finishing the dama. Watched it as it aired. One of the best dramas from Matsumoto Marika. She gets to use almost the entirety of her acting range in this one because of how many types of women she has to disguise herself as. I remember tearing up at the end of the last few episodes. And man is the ending song a good one. One of the few Jdrama ending songs I looked up and listened to multiple times, despite it being out of my usual kind of songs. Makes me tear up almost every time I listen to it. Cherry on top- not one, but 2 Sentai pink rangers guest starring in the SAME episode! I'm genuinely wondering why no one has picked this up for subbing yet, given the star-studded cast and amazing quality of the drama. 8/10 overall.

Stuck on the OTP page. I've entered the correct OTP (I've checked and matched it with the reference number they attached with the OTP email) at least 5 times, but it keeps saying "incorrect OTP"... Requested for a new one, tried again... Same result. Even tried it with VPN... Still not working.
