So, the first episode had a good build up with all the promos and stuff, and overall, I liked it. But.... There was something off about the execution. And the BGM was a bit too much, as in too dramatic. But it's just the start. I'm sure it'll all feel more normal as the series progresses.
Lol, what a weird ending for Miyako and Atsuhiko. I mean, with them stretching it out for so long, I'd expected them to have a proper ending, but nothing. It's a nice sequel, though.
A light mystery drama, mostly focusing on the relationship between the four people who used to be friends. I didn't enjoy it particularly, the weekly crimes weren't that interesting. The only one that stuck out to me was the high school girl who disappeared. The overarching plot was not my cup of tea, mostly because of the weird and creepy romantic feelings involved. I have nothing directly against BLs, but I would like it if they stopped having a gay character in every other drama. Keep it a separate genre instead of trying to mix it with everything, especially mystery dramas. Also, for a drama with this title, it didn't use the "knocking on the lockd door" theme in the mysteries. I watched this thing expecting that's what they'll do, but.... disappointed. 4/10. And, who is that woman in the final scene? I didn't get that.
Well, that was another... disaster, might I say. That was probably the most confusing thing ever. And why the heck is it called "Halation 'Love'"? Cuz there was no actual romance storyline to begin with. Whatever it had was a hot mess that I regret watching. I watched hoping for a romance story mixed with mystery but nope, those 2 never mix in JP dramas I guess. Watched it for Hayato... The guy needs to find better dramas to be in. Watashi wa humo wo Kau nante was... I actually never watched it more than a few minutes, but the casting choices were just a huge turnoff (that is too long of a story to tell). And here the story was a flop. So there you go. 2/10.
Dang, the first episode had one heck of an impact! The first episode alone will probably get 9/10. And the biggest surprise, they used Olivia Rodrigo's song for its theme song. A JP drama is the LAST place I expected to hear her song, good riddance. Mostly because her songs don't fit the Japanese culture. I mean no matter what drama, JP dramas don't USUALLY go as far as using songs filled with curse words. So that's a ridiculously bold choice- that I may not completely agree with. Looking forward to how the story unfolds.
This was good. A psychological experiment that gave more surprising results than expected. I wish some people people weren't as big of idiots as they were, but that's probably the point of this drama. Pretty good. 7.5/10.
More like he's returning to his "Devil's Scientist" Katsuragi Takumi role again lol
Have you watched the first episode of the spin-off? They even make him say Sento/Takumi's catchphrase: "Let's start the experiment" in it! Man, I loved that!
Wow, that was sad. And bad. The whole time, I kept thinking about why Toji broke up with Momo. And even if his logic was revealed at the end, I have never been so frustrated after watching a romance movie. Ugh, just no! 1/10.
Watched it for the cast. Enjoyed the fact that these high schoolers are all athletes. But I didn't like the time travel aspect. That was weird man. 6/10.
O gosh... WHY.DO.THEY.DO.THAT? I just can't get behind it. It frustrates me so much.Like for real! Japanese seem…
Lol, the way you wrote your frustrations is entertaining. But I agree. These mainstream Shojo-manga adaptation kind of tropy romance dramas get real old, real fast and they better start making some changes. Because at this point, people have started losing interest. While there are some very amazing dramas coming from Japan, these tropy romance dramas are just illogical and bad. It's hard to believe that kind of nonsense can please people from any country in the world for more than a few years. Also, I don't think Takumi meant to "guilt-trip" Natsumi into staying by his side. To me, it seemed like he wanted emotional support from his longtime friend and he didn't mean anything romantic by that. I think Natsumi broke up with Kento on her own and when Takumi found out, even he told her to go back to him. The break up isn't necessarily Takumi's fault. But that's just my perspective. Bottom line, it didn't make much sense either way.
I watched this drama hoping for a friends to lover story. And the second couple gave me exactly that and more than delivered. Like the others said, they deserve their own drama and the actors' chemistry is just too good. I want to see them together in another drama soon if possible. The first couple was ok, but the masturbation theme was a turn off. The last episode was very meh. I didn't care at all because the second couple just couldn't be beaten. 6/10 and all of it goes to the 2nd couple.
It seemed interesting at the beginning. Then as it went on, it became just boring and went nowhere. The only good side to this is probably that it's a short drama. Oh, and probably the FL's 2 female best friends. 4/10. Lol, get it? Cuz there are 4 guys chasing after the male lead. 🤣
