I came in with low expectations (*looks at Alan Yu*) but I was caught by surprise at how much I am enjoying it. Xing Fei is fantastic in her costume drama. The writing is very good, even with the typical tropes included.

So much is going to happen. I wonder how it will all be resolved. Hope we don’t get that rushed ending. These characters deserve to be left in a good place. Well, the good ones anyway.The other ones need their comeuppance.
