I knew it that she would have some backup plan in her mind as she would have made a plan together with the ML. Otherwise she couldn’t have taken her father out of the prison even with that token. Also he hadn’t written the anti dote at that point so they can’t kill him at that point too. If he had written the antidote and then tried to attack her then maybe he would have been killed by the ML.

Yushan turned as she realised her father’s real face. The He guy was just a petty man I guess. I always thought that if they need to wrap up the ML being a spy thing the only thing logically that can prove that is if the Wen guy left some proof before his death. So her widow coming there made sense as she probably heard about ML being put as the adopted son and she could also hand over it to the FL as she went in to see the ML even though he was in jail. So she could believe that she won’t harm the ML. And at the end of that villain being forced to write the antidote was because he was a coward who wanted to live. And he didn’t had any other choice but to take the only hand that was willing to save him.

This was a female centred plot and I was afraid that they might not use ML to it’s potential in the final episodes like they did in the Blossom but thankfully they didn’t pushed him in the background here.

He is definitely one of the best villains in the Cdramas. Maybe when the dust settles we may talk more objectively but can’t think of a better villain in Cdrama world then him for now.
