Exactly. We have more reverse harms than actual harem dramas. Even if it not a reverse harem we would be having a devoted 2ML who likes the FL. Yeah in some cases some random character also likes the ML . But that love doesn’t lasts long. This drama is a harem type similar to the likes of Joy of Life and Sword Snow Stride.

My theory on Wei Yuan

Wei Yuan and the Empress seems to have something in between them. My theory - As he was the God of war and also liked the Empress the King was wary or his power. So he had to give up his cultivation but got a good position. This could lead to him being hateful and being the villain later down the line.

But you are you and not Wen Peng because you had someone there for you (your mother) not in case of Wen Peng who was left alone in that hell by her mother who left him with a scumbag. If she had been there for him do you think he would have turned into what he has become now? Than when he fell into love with the FL. Guess who took her away in Wen Peng’s eyes. In my eyes Wen Peng just wanted 1 person to be there for him. Ofcourse not all kids who are abused turn into a psychopaths but I can totally understand him turning into one.

Exactly my thoughts. I earlier thought that the FL didn’t deserved the ML. As she sort of broke up with him twice. But by the end of the drama I found out that the ML was totally useless here. So I don’t feel bad about that at all. It’s like that - in the first half u think FL is not good enough and in the second half u feel that the ML is useless.

yes he can’t catch any criminal. They either get away or get injured while running. That’s how he caught them.

ML apologising first has mostly been the case in most of the dramas. But I have not seen a ML in Cdrama (that I have completed) who was this useless in his profession.

I personally have not seen any as far as I remember a drama with such an ML in Cdrama. Maybe I might have seen but can’t remember it.I usually prefer strong ML and FL in a drama.

I am currently on ep 32 and ML has been totally useless till now.

I have just started ep 31 and Wen Peng never said don’t come back even if he did it was for her mothers safety. Rather it was her mother who said she will come back to take him after she settles down.

Toatally her fault.

Her current husband is a police officer and she never went to see her child because he said that he will beat her to death if she met him. I know a mother can’t take a gamble with her child’s safety. But wouldn’t it be foolish to leave your child with such a scumbag.

It’s all Mrs Jiang’s fault.

ML is sort of a genius at cultivation (martial arts) + investigation skills. Also he makes good use of the poems he remembered from his world.
