Ah the airing calendar is all over the place. I thought ep 13 and 14 were airing tomorrow.. Now I have to play catch up again.

Watched up to ep 12 and to be honest, I am so much interested in SR's and ZSA's story. They match well, have great chemistry and their backstory is more interesting to me even compared to the connection between SZ and LSY.

SZ and LSY are cute together but somehow not as compelling as a couple to me compared to the second leads.

Still JT is the main attraction for me 😁

Hello there! I was in a bit of a slump and was catching up on older dramas :-)

Well, that husband proved to be a real asshole by ep 7 so what more horrific stuff has he done by ep 12?!! I gotta catch up. No new episodes until Wednesday so I have time...phew!

Can someone who’s caught up with the episodes let me know if Shen Ran is plotting vengeance against her husband and MIL? I need to know that she is not just suffering in silence.
I’m just done with ep 6 by the way

But you’re right - so far the FL actress in this show is better. Not much of an acting range yet but at least not off putting.

WZQ was excellent in this drama and I like the story. It’s fast paced and action packed. The show felt experimental like the director was trying different styles of shooting and editing. Unfortunately it did not work out that well but lowered the quality of drama. The FL was ok, a little bland and too clever for her own good but the chemistry between the leads was ok. There’s not much romance and I didn’t get invested in the leads’ relationship that much.

Up to ep 6 and still liking the ML and the story. I’m suffering a little PTSD from the Journey of Chong Zi and unfortunately the FL actress reminds me too much of the other actress. Would have helped if they didn’t make her voice so typically young naive girl.
I’m going to hang in there for JT. Plus I gotta be fair and not write off the FL just because she resembles someone else 😂 she might prove to have a wider acting range as the story develops

Exactly! He needs someone who can help carry the show with him. The scenes would be so much more impactful and less distracting with me wishing the FL would stop looking like a wide eyed novice.
The Journey of Chong Zi was a mess. I couldn’t even finish it because I was put off by the FL. JT’s last show with MZY was ok; at least she could act but lack the charisma of a veteran actress.
Yang Mi, Liu Shi Shi, Bai Lu, Liu Yi Fei, Seven Tan, Zhou Ye, Peng Xiao Ran are a few that certainly can step up to being in the spotlight with him

Finally finished the remaining episodes unsubbed and as expected, it was consistently fun to watch. Wish it wasn’t disrupted so suddenly.

The scene between Captain Jo and Ja Geun Nyun was awesome! His expressions and lack of words - hilarious!

I do love the ending scenes - the setting, the cinematography, the color scheme, the King’s words, the music and the lead up to the implied happily ever after. Almost perfect❣️

Still watching the ending but I wanted to note how beautiful the transitions between scenes were like the one with the two pairs of shoes on the stoop to the next scene when the shoes were gone and so was she.
Sigh JJS just keeps on delivering… to be honest I want to see a remake of this drama with JJS and Park Eun Bin as the leads.
Don’t get me wrong, I like SSK and she is good but there are actresses who can act well to the script and there are others that bring more to the script. One thing I found weak in this drama is the lack of intensity from the FL’s character.
Ok back to the ending!

Shouldn’t the Queen Dowager be punished more? She may not given an orders directly but she definitely participated in wrecking havoc in the palace!

Truly enjoyed this lakorn! It was fun, felt high budget, the plot was interesting and the characters were entertaining. The leads had chemistry and I adored the FL. Love the fashion - most outfits slayed and I liked the different types of romances portrayed in the show. Well worth the afternoon I spent watching all 6 episodes!

I think the court ladies are the dangerous ones - not only Lady Dong but we also have the one serving the Queen Dowager. The actress is doing a good job since I totally hate the bitchy looks that she gives

I’m here for JT and with 4 episodes in, too early to judge if this drama is worth watching. The plot is definitely written for convenience.

It would be nice though if JT could get paired with a substantial actress. It’s like his agent or company keeps testing the waters by pairing him with newer actresses. For once, I would like to see him act next to an A-lister

Too bad, neither lead has upcoming dramas listed. Looks like I have to go back to older ones to continue my binge on JJS

After putting this on hold, I finally finished it. Should have watched it sooner since it is a good watch. All the main male leads are eye candies and the chemistry between the couples is good.
The palace shenanigans also made sense given that the king was obsessed about his position.
Overall, this drama was entertaining enough to spend the time.
