Right? Her upbeat character would have contrasted nicely against his careful measured personality, and the wit between the two would have some great sparks :D

I liked the Princess Ming Zhu character...if they created a love line between her and Yun Xiang, then I think it would have worked for me...they are both really intelligent, and there would still be some melodrama (if the show wants some) given their backgrounds. For me that would have been better than this Romeo & Juliet theme going on

Finally got past ep 28 - had to pause for awhile since Yun Xiang's lovesick behavior was annoying me. The romance was not working for me from the get-go, so seeing him all mopey and drunken just put me off. At least his mind still worked brilliantly.
Now to binge until today's episodes and looking forward to all the remaining reveals...

I just want a few more episodes without her first LOL. Maybe for a plot twist, have both her and YH master come back in the final episode for a final showdown against the dark lord 😁

As long as he doesn’t try to come between our main couple. I think you’re right though - he’s already shown a ruthless side so he might get worse later

She may not be a skilled fighter but she sure can slap! So much satisfaction that she got to slap Su Ying and the now the Dark Lord!
