Now that I finally got to watch ep 12, I know what you mean :D It's never been this blatant so yeah it's pretty obvious!

Ep 12 was a little draggy but still good. Wish they would think to involve the law but then again, very few lakorns have smart police so I am not surprised that they didn't want to report anything :D

That’s true - you highlighted the great points that the FL has. She definitely has a backstory with her mom so I hope that they explore it further.
I only found it annoying when she picked on the ML and did not seem to understand his need for boundaries. Then again she was not only one :D

So far, so good and I like the ML - he's not portrayed as a silly buffoon completely out of his element.I appreciate that the show did not make him the butt of low-brow jokes. He has challenges but realistic ones. I didn't like the FL at first for acting like a spoilt brat. I know she has a reason but even that reason was too juvenile for her behavior. She did get better in episode 4
The SML has not made an impression yet...

He has his shiny moments and he gets better towards the end

I think the FL character was quite well written. She did not uncharacteristically soften after she found out the ML did not betray her with Som…she righted the wrong but didn’t give in. I would settle for a renewal of vows and we can all guess that the reconciliation would happen in the last 15 minutes - haha!
It’s fun watching the bad guys unravel as their plans start to fall apart. I loved watching karma get Som back!
Along with Annie, Aunt Nan is now my favourite! She’s bitchy but she is consistently bitchy to everyone and she remains true to herself :D

I knew ML and Dad were up to something after the dad asked ML to help him but yeah, I wasn’t expecting them to trap the bad guys together

I’m on episode 3 now and I agree - all the women, daughters and mothers are so annoying and shameless. Completely oblivious to reality. Only the FL and Sao Yai are fine

I hope that you give it a try! It’s one of the shows that go down smooth if you can overlook the arrogant jerk behavior of the ML in the beginning :D

I hope so too…I liked how the ML handled Som and his mother in ep 21 and with Nus too when he didn’t back down. I basically given up on the FL’s dad…haha

Finally a breakthrough in ep 21! And Wat redeemed himself again :D
I really hope Angkarb & Chaya get the worst karma pay back ever! The same for Wat’s mother although I expect she will get some sort of redemption.

Episode 1 was fun! The ML was all flirty from almost the beginning 😆

I love that Jung Ii Woo and Kwon Yuri get to ham it up in this show. I enjoyed watching our couple in Bossam: Steal the Fate and it’s great that they show completely different characters here!
Lee Joon Hyuk was also in Bossam and he’s funny as Director Hong :D

Thank you so much! I was debating whether to watch the 2016 one but I will avoid the frustration.
In this one, I like Anusaniya's portrayal and Wat especially during his moments with her makes me root for both of them. I just cannot stand how he is unable to put his foot down with his mother and Som.
Ah well, that's how most lakorns are and at the end of the day, all the drama is part of the reason I find them so enjoyable!
Looking forward to next episodes!

Hi, did you watch the previous Thai versions - how different is this one? Was the other MLs really as pathetic as Wat? He's like a useless puppet between his mother and Som...At this point, I am really just rooting for Anusaniya and everyone else is pissing me off. Well, except Annie - I think s/he's cool! I watched the Chinese version and loved it. Both leads were smart and matured and the ML was so much better than Wat.

Ooh things are getting tense after ep 11!
