I completely agree with you on the slow start of this drama and drag on forever and how the male lead is really what makes this drama worth watching. His acting, passion and portrayal of the character is one of the best I have seen in Chinese dramas.

I just finished this drama and want to add:
6-Comedy: besides the romance, the funny moments really kept me going and laughing.
7-Teamates: the guys are a lot of fun to watch.
8-Grandpa and Ai Qing's dad: veteran actors you got to love.
9-Countless cute moments: Yitian is complete eye candy, the kisses kept coming and improving, plus Wu Bai really knows how to treat a lady.
10-Rewatch value: I find myself taking longer and longer to finish an episode because I kept rewinding to watch those sweet moments on the spot.
This drama although straight forward and predictable, it kept me very entertained and made my top 10 list!

I think it is because Wu Bai's love for Ai Qing is much longer and deeper. Plus he is more mature and has a calmer personality than the other guy.

This drama gets better and better to the point it takes me forever to finish an episode because I kept rewinding the cute scenes and rewatch on the spot.

Sound effects also excellent.
