I wrote director & YZ did not disappoint so they met my 7 wanted list, most of the actors were not dubbed and I went in happily watching. I found out later there is a part 2 which I won't be watching because I truly feel this story does not need to be so long. I was already getting bored and impatient at the last third of part 1.

Me too, I enjoy the first 20eps in the North so much more: the story, the costumes, hair, accessories, the guys, the competition and even the villains.

i hope you will like it also, first two thirds of drama is better than last third I have to say but key is the male lead, continue only if you like him.

He grew up with Xuan Lie, they are best friend and share more inner struggles with one another. He is in also in charge of one of the four regions in the North.

🤚🏻I waited 4 years! The last time was Go Ahead in 2020 and yeah it was worth the wait.

My favorite SWL drama is Go Ahead, I repeat watch countless times.

SWL delivers a kiss scene like no other...

For an A+ drama it's done well but CG needs improvement in first few episodes, later it does get better.

His character is the younger cousin to the Northern King and general to the North side of army.

That is good to know, hopefully director and script will deliver and it's only 30ep like EL so shouldn't drag to much. I hate a drag out drama.

He definitely knows how to sink into the character and make it his own. But if he enjoyed the role/process so much, drama can't be bad. This director however did a bad fantasy costume drama before but they say he used to be a martial arts director so the fight scenes at least can't be bad.

Yes and he hasn't been so emotional with previous wrap so the tears surprised himself. Could be the role, production and whole process. That is interesting with the novel...too bad cdramas is not even close to HBO level these days lol

It is so unfair he has that bad/false rep spread around when he is such a hardworking devoted actor. He was only 19 when he did Find Yourself and 20 with Go Ahead. Even here he was 23, yes he has room to improve but his acting is natural and can make you feel. Ohhh...let me know how you like the novels. I have high hopes for costume one with BSE bc SWL tear up during drama wrap. However I am a little worried with modern one with ZJM bc I find all the adaptation dramas from this author's novels a little boring.

It's also nice to know you read the novel it is based on and still appreciate/enjoy the drama. ML has to be gentled down or can't get pass censorship in China.

Song Weilong was also excellent in Go Ahead, Find Yourself and Bionic. 🤝🏻
