a cute but horrible haircut, my fave actors and the thrill of whether this will be a) tasteless queerbaiting, b) problematic student x teacher relationship, or c) a critical commentary on shipping/fetishizing queer relationships?? -- I'm sat! Can't wait to see this chaos unravel lol
no unnecessary drama, touching moments and insightful messages about a topic some might still consider taboo. it doesn't have a lot of action and feels kinda realistic with the development of the romance, which I find rather charming. definitely a comfort watch for when you want to unwind after high stakes dramas!
loved that this was a women-focused drama like yaaass, especially in the last few episodes there were barely any male characters, which is GOOD bc kdramas overall often seem to have a lack of interesting female characters
From all the kbls I've seen this one is probably the least afraid of and most comfortable with proper kissing scenes and the sexual side of relationships, while being able to portray it as a normal, realistic relationship (could've worked without the love triangle? square tho imo)
this drama is pretty exciting!! I'm just too dumb for the accounting stuff lmao, I'm just vibing and nodding along, like, sure, this unqualified opinion is definitely a deal breaker... or something
Dongshik clearly stating his power over captured Seulbi and saying stuff along the lines of "I'll make you mine even if you resist, you'll grow to like me, I'm gonna be the only man for you, even if I have to force it" (mind you it's been a while since I watched it) and then getting physically into her space and maybe trying to force a kiss on her, that sort of stuff
so they can't show blood or knifes or whatever, but the disgusting rape allegory in ep 15 was okay?? make it make sense (this is just the tip of the iceberg of things to critise, I won't even start)
yeah after a few episodes one could guess who the killer was but honestly, that didn't bother me! it's better to have a consistent storyline that fits together than revealing the killer in the last ep out of nowhere where it didn't make any sense! also all of the characters are really likeable and fleshed out, it was interesting to see their unique stories! (Fish fighting I'm so happy <3)
I've just watched the first episode, I'm so amazed at the dog??? it's so calm? always just chilling there in the arms of the god? such a good actor, 10/10
i don't know why k-BLs always have to add a love traingle or some childhood friend who secretly swoons for one of the main leads too, like, before you introduce a second romance focus on making the first one good. I didn't understand the character of Jin Hyuk at all in this drama....
not even a MINUTE into episode 1 and someone tries to force himself on somebody else/tries to kiss him when the other obviously doesn't want to?? does this show get better or is it continued with the same manner...........
started watching this show when Inwoo made his first appearances and it's HILARIOUS! dying of laughter and hunger every time (I don't know how to incorporate it into my list tho, bc I doubt I'll watch the first 110 episodes but adding up to ep 117 would feel like lying lmao help )
this was better (more tense & mysterious) in the beginning, the plot really wasn't that exciting in the second half, BUT I loved the acting and action scenes! Also it's rare to see entertaining female characters and I think they were well written here (also that more than one woman is relevant to the story, don't see that so often...) And of course the chemistry between the two main leads was fantastic! don't need to see a kiss to know of their special connection lol
I somehow preferred Sato x Aida over Sato x Amagi bc Amagi was just a bit too creepy for my taste... he didn't respect Sato's boundaries at all :// (especially the ending? wtf??)
I don't know why BLs always bother with a love triangle when they can't even showcase enough depth for the two main characters... didn't really care/had sympathy for any of the three dudes. The only character that caught my interest was Yeongwoo's dad LOL
also all of the characters are really likeable and fleshed out, it was interesting to see their unique stories! (Fish fighting I'm so happy <3)
