I don't speak chinese and I'm having a difficulty in the translation, I'm hoping one of the contributors to this…
In this show, the "Wang" refers to Master Wang, the head of the Academy (the principal's big boss, if I'm not mistaken). In other shows, if referring to royalty, "Wang" means king. Emperor would be "Huang Di". The kings are usually the emperor's sons. The subtitles usually translate King as Prince.
THANK YOU for this informative and insightful article. I'm a huge fan of Bae Doo Na!
First saw her in Sympathy for Mr Vengeance where she had more of a supporting role. Then watched The Host where she really stood out in an ensemble cast (most of the cast did well there). When Cloud Atlas was released, I was instantly captivated. That movie had a very interesting plot where the cast each played multiple roles, and this was where she showcased her flexibility and range in portraying different characters that were so diverse. Following that, saw her supporting act in Jupiter Ascending and Tunnel. As for dramas, I enjoyed her work in Sense8, Stranger and Kingdom.
Personally for me, she brings out something extra and special to the roles that she portrays. Her best work comes in the form of playing eccentric and offbeat roles, although she can be equally elegant on screen. And I noticed she is adept in productions with both frantic and slow-burn pacing, which shows what a great actress she is.
Really looking forward to seeing her again tomorrow in Stranger (season 2).
After some time digesting what had transpired at the end, it's time to move on. This comments section has been fun. We all shared the laughter and the tears together :D
See you guys around in Drama Land.
Note to self: Shen Lige lives on to fight covid-19 outbreak in her next drama! Or as a feisty reporter..? Well, whichever comes first.
LMAO :D

Let's catch up with some fun and laughter :D
Just couldn't stop smiling the entire time lol
