I know the feeling. Although it's not a stated component in MDL parameters, my higher score is for the production aspects. I thought the soundtrack was great as well.
In relation to other dramas, I rated TKA an 8.5 but this one definitely warrants a higher score, for the same genre and setting.

Tbh, this year I've come across quite a number of angsty plots so this one is considered quite mild. My biggest issue with it was how the angst would be harnessed to move the plot forward. Hence, as you mentioned in your review, the romance appeared more one-sided than it probably should have. I honestly don't think that was the intention of the storytelling but the end product demonstrated otherwise.
