True. Released this after Reunion, it was a wrong move. This adaptation quality is even lower than TLT1 and 2.

I'll try to enjoy this just bcs I'm happy to see another DMBJ adaptation, but I won't expect anything from the casts and production.

Exactly my thought. After Reunion with S class production and all the experience actors (except Huang Junjie), my standart for DMBJ adaptation became really high.

After watched 12 eps, I'm not have a problem with Joseph Zeng, more or less, he has similarity with Neo Huo version, and Xiao Yu Liang did a great job as "still inhuman" XG. But, the rest of cast, just didn't get me at all.

Ah Ning is just too young. Pang Zi in this version is just to annoying, and I can't feel his chemistry with WX and XG. I can't feel any charisma from Wu Sanxing and Xiao Hua. This version Xiao Hua really didn't match his character from the novel and other adaptations (beautiful but strong and smart). And Huo Xiuxiu is too mature.

Bcs according to the book, Wu Xie won't meet Xiao Hua until vol. 7/ until the iron triangle finished their 1st journey to Zhangjialuo. Bcs the drama adaption didn't follow the novel's timeline and they always changed the production team so the story somehow feels like not in order, and makes us confused.

It need some time for me to get familiar with this cast bcs Reunion just hit me so much with their superb casts.
So far, Joseph Zeng is doing great job as WX. Still feel awkward with Xiao Ge, Pang Zi and Xiao Hua.

And Hanikezi as A Ning just too young for me.

Yes, you need to watch the season 1, bcs they just divided 62 eps to 2 seasons. For the ending, it is has a decent ending. You can said it's a happy ending but it is not really the end of the WX's journey as tomb rider.

I don't find this drama is boring at all. Maybe you can try to watch it again bcs it's really has a great story.

This drama is really good. As YML's fan, in my opinion, his acting in this drama is, so far, the best.

Reunion/Reboot/Chong Qi is the latest sequel from The Lost Tomb series. It takes place around 12 years after the main volumes/story. A Ning died in volume 5 of the main story.

You don't need to watch the others adaptions, but maybe you won't understand some of their relationships and backgrounds.

For romance, there is a bit of romance, but don't expect a happy ending.
