I love how simple this series is, I mean it is fantasy, and fantasy don't require origin or scientific explanation.
Also the series is comfortably arranged, like from 1-9 story build-up, 10-15 past and main character stories, 16-17 present events, 18-20 will be confrontation and climax.
So much could be explored, like such series can span up-to multiple season.
I don't need my head to banged to know what is going on, very simple et entertaining.

ML didn't played any role to help his friend, from point of view he pushed him actually, and to convince the audience that he is a "jerk" which is told episode after episode, it is quiet annoying if they make him angle all of a sudden.

If you cheat, bet, or dope on your own, you get penalty, ejection or ban for several leagues or calendar days, but if you do fixing through a syndicate and makes profit other than winning the game or gamble it is a criminal offense.
Every job has one rule that should never be broken, and in sports not to take a legal way to win. No matter what your excuse is, your wife is dying, child is dying, or else, and if you do, you have to bear the consequences, thats it. I am sorry for his son's diseases but I have no sympathy, or tears on his death. And even if today ML were to be jailed, no sympathy for him as well. If you truly love someone or wants better for them, you make them do hard decisions not try to do everything for them. It sends them to death, and thats what happened to ML friend.

ps: Yun Ji On is a great actor, out 10 he play 9 evil/bad/grey characters, may be he is typecasted but he is really good. Also he has lost more weight than before.
I feel no sympathy for ML and his friend. They dug their own graves by engaging in dirty deeds they shouldn't have. ML tries to be a messiah figure for the ones he wants, but it is of no use.
The JM guy is a lunatic, and FL is so dumb that she can't even rebut him or ask him, 'So, were you meeting me to leech off of me?' Instead, she is explaining or giving excuses. At least make her stand her ground. You can show a character as vulnerable, scared, or fed-up, but why do writers always take their voice away in front of worse people?
ML needs to learn his lesson, and I truly feel sorry for FL for being around such jerks. A person who acts like a good guy but exhibits jerk behavior is a bad person in my book.
