It is mostly thanks to direction. The director has an 3 decades worth of experience of in theater. He is an experienced and a very senior theater director and writer of Thailand and has his work displayed in US. His direction tells you that he is not a typical film director and has a lot of elements of filmmaking resembling foreign elements but intact with Thai roots.
the direction style seemed very familiar to be of an artistic type and of those filmmakers that has theaters and stage experience.
And to my surprise, when i checked the director profile he turned out to be a famous theater director with extensive experience in musical and theater plays with his work being acknowledged in US .
the scene where Wang and Sasi are arguing, and camera follows with them, it is usually not a Asian film and drama style.
Only after watching that scene I search director and my guess was right. Amazing direction, he kept both Thai and foreign elements in place.
Love it, although it his first film or drama, but he is indeed a legend.
last time I told the sunset and moon, had such production values.
but this one is just a cream work, minimal people, conversation sexual tension, secret and amazing cinematography, editing and acting and above all DIRECTION.
