I have to give credit to Mean, and editorial department, for giving it a feel of 200s. After Sunset, it is only BL that has excellent cinematography and decent production.
Story wise, yes, it is here and there, but I have always liked slow paced series. I truly hope they are able to deliver what Mean has envisioned with this project in 10 episodes. Happy or sad ending, but it should deliver what it aimed in first place.
I hate girls and those people who assume that they are someone special and without knowing shit they go ahead and cross boundaries. Liking someone alone is on you. Other not liking it is not their fault.

My man NSW is a keeper. He knows how to protect, feed and keep his love with sacrifice. But at the same time he is not Parvati, he knows when to step when his love is being mistreated.
And Namgung, every person should have a friend like him. He is there to play games but actually he is a bridge between a circle that connects eachother when things go south. He is a true man. I love him so much.
DO is a fool, I get it he has so much issues but even after NSW tried to make him jealouse his own worries were more important which proves that he is no doubt of his win feelings. And in that very moment when he let NSW go after him, was his biggest mistake that he will regret immediately.
Now that LSH issue is clear with DO and his trust is broken. He doesn't care about people and will try body to after WTK and when DO will get WTK, WTK will realise he actually love NSW.
I remember this Indian film where leads love each other but ends up being separated while FL gets married to a traditional but innocent man, who try his best to get FL back together with other person but ends up falling for her. In the end when FL finally teaches her love, she realises she actually loved her husband.
I think Light On Me is going in same direction.
I just love this series. And rating is truly justified. By the time it ends it should be around 8.8 or something.

This is the first Japanese drama, where I felt dialogues matches the characters. The big brother who loved his naïve brother unconditionally, the father worried about his son, and a beautiful wife willing to give time and space to figure him his life, was worth watching.
Each dialogue, each expression, was spot on, as usually I am not fond of Japanese style of shocking expressions, and their shouting, but here it felt different, the show is insanely given fair amount of people’s effort and it was truly well made.
China, Korean and Japan, each has their own unique filmmaking these days, but Japan is staying true to its old style of filmmaking, there are not mega green screen VFX, extravagant lighting or editing in series, rather it feels dim but at the same time "home" to me.
I have always felt that Japan content is homemade, not someone you can find in market. Like the home cooked meal is always better than a meal eaten outside. Japan is just like that. Even in 2021, I feel I am watching a series that was shot 20 years ago, but I can’t help but like it because it is true, sincere and does not have filter elements of any kind.
This series is a must watch for everyone, not for a single moment, it dragged or slowed down, and yes, it is not ONLY about FOOD, it has everything for a person need to realize their goals and become a better version of themselves, if not best. The progress, and maturity of a lead character is a delight to watch.

I am glad the ML will like the FL early not cold. But my only concern is the 2FL she is bitch to the core. I was hoping it not to be typical drama.

Didn't we saw enough of that shit in 11, and there was absolutely no need for back story. I am super duper pissed.
