I wish atleast kao and up will be spared from toxic fandom. Otherwise it would be too ironic. They seem like really…
Actually, these are two different concept and BL origin is Asia. While LGBTQ+ is a term used throughout the world.
These are very confusing concepts, and it will make no sense for some people while distinguishing these two. But actually BL and Gay are two different troops.
Shonen-ai (Boy Love) originated in Japan and has been through ancient times. However the modern day BL which is Yaoi officially came to known in 1970. And they have whole different genre called Bara, for gay men.
To tell you simply, BL is based on handsome boys, highly idealised male figures, having both feminine and masculine qualities, almost no female characters, they have equality, rape is shown, forced projection is heavily part of BL, plus tragedy.
However, when there is a gay themed story or film or TV series, they are simply falls under normal genres (e.g drama, romance thriler etc ), and not called BL.
Wishing BL should be healthier is highly unlikely, because the founding elements of BL are totally different. However, I want BL to toned down, and follow real problem in BL world.
the writer's best work in Soulmate, one of the best drama script and Korean classic.
But with this, I don't know what went wrong, it is very typical monthly digest story. That could be popular, but the characters in it are useless.
1- This is the worst role for LMK 2- Nana is at it again choosing wrong role. Into The Ring was her only and best role to date. 3- Don't know what to make of KMH coz his image is set as a tashy ML/SL. To be honest, he needs to improve his acting game as well and focus on better character choices. He fucking get to work with HJW, and still learned nothing.
The script is at its weakest. The supporting characters are trash as well, the secondary couple of assistants are so cringy and not worth at all. The director couple is somewhat okay. Both mothers story is useless as well, like no input whats so ever. And the bullshit fantasy element is a turd on top.

Let's look forward to it but they have shown too much sweetness already, so don't expect the lovey dovey finale episode. They perhaps will have 10 minutes of reunion and series end after that.
They have to wrap it nicely, so far the series doesn't lack in any aspect, it is very ordinary series, yet feels very different and refreshing. When people complained about the background score, I even loved it then.
The table conversation was real as heck, the producers concerns and reality of that was uncanny. This is a glimpse of what happens in BL industry and thanks to some brave directors who lifted the curtain and now more BL trying to show the toxicity of it.
I have never shipped, any couple in real life, it is cruel. What is shown in TV is just fiction, even they are featuring a real life couple. You will not see an actual BL couple leading the show, because producers/investors don't want that. Aoey is gay in real life but he will never be a lead, because people are not interested in seeing real life gay people. BL is more of a fiction concept, although homoetric relationship does exist, but they are rare and no one can know.

Now you understand how you feel? It just not fandom for BL, the fandom for any media itself is cruel, toxic and suffocating for their artists around the globe.
All K pop idols or other artists with huge fan following, lives under the fear of their fans. One mistake and they can create hell for them. They have to live like a saint, no mistake whatsoever, and the most popular band of Korea has been living like that. Can you call this a life? They can't love, can't afford to walk, talk freely go freely, just to preserve the image and brand name - the MONEY.

But that can not happen, BL and LGBT are two separate concepts. BL also have a history of almost half century. As much as I want it to be under the umbrella of LGBTQ+, BL is completely different concept of "love between two boys", and "not same sex".
While classifying under Gay theme, the characters have to be hmosexual in nature and not just have eyes for only 1 person. Apparently BL falls under homoeroticism and not homosexuality. And homoeroticism is much more older concept than homosexulaity, and it has been present throughout the history.
ITSAY and TOATS may be subtle in their depictions, but they too are BLs and not Gay themed works, it just they are more refined and modern in their depiction without barriers of typical BL norm.
Just remember, writer wrote this drama, to make psychopath guilty of their crimes, which in real life not possible. But writer said she will make sure they feel the weight of their crime. Hence she choose the fantasy element to make the murderer guilty.
I wouldn't take that review seriously. How can someone objectively rate a drama based on one episode out of sixteen?…
bad acting - is just absurd. SY and CT are great actors, if not best.
Its a typical Korean rom-com. With all the standard element, nothing, unique, nothing best, but not bd either. It's a good old story.
Ratings will go down, as this series is not an immediate attention of people, because the series was shelved for good amount of 3 years. And all the watchers are very from that time.
I am guessing 8.2 rating by the time this drama finished.
Main actress look like a low cost version of Kim Yoo Jung. And let's be fair, main actor a low cost version of…
She is Soo-young, not some low cost version of other actress. She is extremely popular in Korean celebrity and Japan and elsewhere, she is a singer turned actress. Girl Generation members are known everywhere.

Yes it does have similarities, in terms of only one character! But all other aspects is completely different.
It has one of best music score and song! 10 point there.
