Omo omo omo... What happened? Alice broke all the records of ratings for currently on air Korean Dramas.
Ep 3 - 10.6%, Ep 4 - 11. 4%.
First drama since The World of the Married whose rating only rose with each episode. Once Again is still the highest rated 2020 drama in public broadcast.
Hwang Jung Eum, welcome to single life. Please take this time to reflect what roles you should be choosing next. You are a great actress, but roles like this, will only tarnish your image. I am no actor, nor does I am making you feel bad, but for the sake of you seeing in next project, and as a viewer, please accept my two cents.
1 - Stop choosing roles, that does not fit your personality. 2 - I am sick of your "ayegoo" and "yelling" voice in each role you play. 3 - Since your "She Was Pretty" days, each role you play, all same. 4 - At least change your hair, each character has different personality, but seems like production has no issue letting you lean in with same appearance, which is very frustrating. 5 - Please, please, choose project that reflects your truest acting skill, rather than choosing a story, that feels we are seeing same character with just different clothes and makeup. This repeat telecast need to stop.
Thank you. I hope your mediation process goes smoothly.
I'm still in the process of trying to accept the fact that I'm already done watching it :'( It truly touched my…
beautiful and dazzling in every way. I consumed this series, I was the fan of Kim Hye-ja and she did nothing but out of this world job. What surprised me was acting skills of Nam Jo, he is such a talented actor.
Everyone saying "Flower of Evil" is the best drama of 2020! and here I'm thinking it's the second best drama ever…
Yup, we say FOE is best drama of 2020.
But My mister is a pure class, second to none, I was amazed at IU performance. She nailed it, my heart broke whenever I saw her in painful scenes, and struggling.
After Light in Your Eyes, My Mister is all time greatest Korean TV series.
My rating 6.0 was top notch. Nothing new, nothing good.
On the top, it's not even his friend, but brothers fighting for same women and on that he got married, not considering his brother, the awkward situations going to be, and slightest love for his brother? What kind of script is this? Is this the writing standard?
If Seo jin were to die, than thats fine. But even thats not the case.
Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. Cha Ji Won. I wasn't going to be critical and all, but got excited earlier so I thought this series was one of the best. But it's not. It certainly not bad though. Heres why.
This series is carried by acting and both leads are master of their craft. Second I have an huge issue with story and its execution.
You are in 2050 and able to come back to past, so imagine how advance that technology and that period would be. Right? But when it comes to searching a person, they failed to noticed that he is a son of Tae Yi, she changed her name, not face.
And what is even 1 Year in Alice = 29 years in real world? Where that calculation came from? Fiction it is, but at-least come up with time dilation that seems reasonable. It doesn't even make any sense.
To make a good Sci-fi, you don't need VFX and high tech-shit, you need good reasoning and story that can actually proves that future is something unimaginable.
And what does Alice actually do? the most ridiculous services of all it helps its clients to go back in past and aids them seek revenge, and unfinished businesses. Isn't it obvious when you make such services, it is wring to begin with. It tempers with past, and ultimately changes the future, but no...no explanation there as well. Tech this advance and all you do is to make people go back so they can wreck vengeance?
It's just two episodes, so I can expect more right? But I highly doubt, given they will infuse typical K-drama love triangle and melodrama dose with each episode. I don't mind it, but it should cement the story as well, so people like me for once can enjoy sci-fi with reasonable story in K-world. I want to forget "The King: The Eternal Monarch" time mess theory.
I don't know why people are venting. I ship them hard if the story is written like that. Nothing wrong. Unless, she is the same person, which at this point she seems to be not. So I ship them with my whole heart.
On the other hand, I can't stand Kim Do Yeon, she played a bit*** role in some series i can't remember, and I can't move past her image. So no, she can't be lead for him, his police buddy must take her, as he is interested.
Hwang should stop playing characters if she doesn't not know how to give each character separate identity. I loved her in Mystic Pop-up Bar, such roles are perfect for her.
But she is not someone I would want to see as romantic actress or for intimate scenes. She acts, talk and that weird "ayego" voice is so over the top cringeworthy. Ans she does these things, in each character she is playing since She Was Pretty.
So today is the day... when her tears will beg for his life... Gosh, what a pain she is enduring. So much so that as long as he never returns and hides somewhere is enough for her to continue to live and face the consequences. But as we all know, he finally cried, meaning he is cured. He is no longer emotionless, he will come back to shelter his love.
Thank you all of your comments, I officially dropped it. You guys are angle. May god bless you all.
I just wish I had read such true comments for "To All The Guys Who Loved Me", before starting that show, I wouldn't have wasted those precious hours on that garbage.
There was so much potential to make the drama without involving the ex-girlfriend with her current boyfriend and…
you exactly share my concern. I don't know why you deleted your reply to my comment. But yes, why it is always ex-girlfriend messing with FL. I hate this plot the most and it seems the most selling point. I mean, they sure going to confess for each other, but then exes gonna come, and too much meddling , plotting, scheming, always makes my heart out grew from the series. I mean, I can not help but jump into screen and kill those exes, and yes there are millions creative ways to show hardships of couples and their breakup and reunion, and it doesn't have to be ex lovers or spouses. Boil your blood for 13 something episodes and in final, you get to see fast paced end. This is typical Korean plot for 70% dramas.
And no matter how intelligent you are, FL has to be dumb, introvert and always caring, I mean these attributes can be used as defense to create a strong story line and plot.
Am I the only one getting anxiety and annoyed at the same time with this wife. Like seriously, she playing mind…
What mind games? She is police officer, after 14 years of together she suddenly exposed to something life changing, as the only man (perhaps person) she loved more than herself, is someone she didn't knew at all. And despite showing anger, and blaming and throwing tantrum, she sets out to find the truth for a person she breathes for.
So tell me how she is playing games, she is the one having hard time, learning all sort of stuff, and knowing her man isn't someone ordinary and she has to help him, no matter what.
